ok a little about me. I have been a knight since before publish 10. I picked up defender and have been mls/defender 4004 healer ever since. I'm getting to a point where i would really like to change my template. Are there any plans in the works to allow knights to do this without spending the month to regrind a template?

Not that i have heard, would be nice for the devs to let folks have a free get out of jedi debt card though to retemplate though.

I am planning on changing my current templte because I amsick of mid-range healers beating me in duels.
Now im not sure if they are just good or what, because i remember pre-patch i could destroy any healers.
this is my current templte:
MBH/Mcarb/pistoleer 0-1-0-4
and force sensitive stuff
What I want to go
Mcarb
Master combat medic OR (doc if its worth the extra skill pts)
pistoleer 0-0-0-4
force sensitive stuff
Now i realize that I will loose my adv critical shot for the combo i used to use which was imrpoved leg shot and adv crit.
So what would be the best secondary shot and....
Whats better for healing myself and stuff
however i like the animation on cm better but they cannot buff themselves or other.
yet cm can drian their oponets and stuff.
what do you think is a better choice
shold i change and rid of mbh for healing or what. I enjoy advanced pve and pvp especially dueling.
plz suggest

I have the template you are suggesting, and it is quite capable. I would go for CM over Doc because you save skill points, and CMs really can heal just as good as Doctors. You lose buffs and wound heals and dot heals, but you gain quite a bit of crowd control skills, including the much loved paralyze and electrolyte drain. Once you've lost Critical Shot, you'll want to alternate Leg Shot with either Rapid Fire or Scattershot (there's proponents of both).

I'm bouncing around going from MLS/MDef/3000 Healer/0002 Enhancer to MLS/3402 Enh/4040 Def/4000 Healer... I like the crowd control, better healing and the extra armor rating, but I'd miss the Force pool size, innate regen and ridiculous tanking abilities of the MDef. Should I stay MLS/MDef/3000H/0002E, try the other temp, or just go back to MLS/MDef/4004 healer for my great PVE tank setup?

I made the same change. Thing is Vs. BH I use less force and I have been more effective without MDEF. Defender is just too slow. I have watched a frickin' pink wookie tank better than I ever did as a MDEF and I think he had no defender. Said wookie has a high damage saber too.

I would do 4404E instead. What would you choose over theses two temps.
MLS
4004-E
4000-H
0040-D
0400-P
or
M-Enhancer
0404 -LS
4000 -H
0040 -D
0400 -P
I currently have the first temp listed and the MLS is very nice however, I'm not sure how much of a loss I will take with only 0404-LS. I know I loose the mods and KD throw which is nice, but I do gain FA with enhancer & stasis along with many other skills. With FA & aura, BH attacks are ALOT easier. Any thoughts..?
PS - I love cloak, so its gotta stay..

ive noticed alot of master defenders master sabers jedi are changing their templates, that was the first new FOTM when the cu came out, but i think some people were too hasty to jump on that band wagon and didnt think about all the cool stuff they are missing from enhancer

I agree, I was a MD MLS and yeah.. you tanked... But there are just too many good skills out there. I just would like to know if with the second temp I listed, will 0404 LS be enough..? Even with a good LS... say atleast 700ish dmg.

i have a few friends who are 0404 lightsaber and they have pre cu sabers and are pretty good
