Thread: Are these stats good enough to go without doc or cm?

Well, I am at my full Temp - Mcarb MBH P0004

all in all, pretty strong temp!

My question is this, are all the defence benefits and special attack I get, worth the lack of healing?

I mean, I could use ruby bliel, and heal myself with Dstims3 times a min for around 1000 health, but still I am hadicapped at some point here i believe.

My stats are-

Speed - 105

Accuracy - 240

Melee defence - 230

Ranged defence - 255

This makes it pretty hard to damage me together with my Battle armor 6k kinetic, 6k laser damage, 5k the rest. (and not to forget foods and neutron pixies)

So, what do you think? is this good enough with the help of stims, or should I get CM or Doc anyway?

Depends if you feel the need to spend all those points to basically get stopping shot. If you're happy with the template then stick with it, if not, try a change, you can always go back.

I played MBH - MCarbs without any Doc or CM and struggled with BH Marks more than 2 levels higher......but now with either Doc or CM (yes I have both on 2 different toons) I can handle marks 7 levels higher without breaking a sweat.

I also picked up 1000 Brawler to go along with my 4000 Doc.

Personally, depends what and how you fight, but I can't play any template without some healing at least.

In the post-CU world, at least some healing is essential to any template that pretends to be self-sufficient (as a BH needs to be by necessity of the profession).

My wookiee on Scylla is MBH/master pistoleer/rifleman 4400, that left me 2 SP, I put into hunting 1. I do well against jedi, unless they get within 30m, which is pistol range, then I am screwed. Using the rifle with pistoleer specials is nice, as I can root and do damage, but the second a mark gets into 30m, I am dead meat. Stim D with Ruby bliel simply is not enough healing. I think you would be better off to dump all the pistol boxes you have and work into either doc, or CM. you could go CM 4000 and be able to heal like a madman, or go CM 0400 to get some debuffs, but still have 3 ways to heal yourself. This beats the cool down timers nicely

But if I get rid of the pistol skills, I will be giving up on 40 points (!) in Ranged and Melee defence... not to forget stopping shot which is such an amazing help. no one ever gets near me. ever.

So lets put it this way, melee enemies dont have to much of a chance until my action runs out...

Is it worth the points and stopping shot to be able to heal myself quickly?

I would actualy like if someone with experience of playing without healing skills say something. so that this could be a little more objective. thanks.

Drop the pistoleer and the def...Buy attachments to make up for it and take the healing....after a weak you wont miss stoping shot and also wont realise how you got along withought healing : )

If I put Medic 0020 (healing efficiancy) would the bacta shot be of any real use? cause I still have enough SK for that amd keep Stopping shot.

i just switched back to mcarbs/mbh/pistol0003/medic0020 after having doc for a while. If you wear healing bando and a heal undershirt u can heal for around 850-890 using bacta shot and u still have your stimD's. I seem to get along fine with this.

How does that template work against Jedi? I'm currently MBH/ M Carb/ 4000 CM with a AA capped suit of armor and dont know how i'd live without my Bacta Toss/ Bacta Spray.

Ill just stick in my too cents. Im still in respec after having come back to the game after quitting pre-cu and I WAS a MR/MDOC/MMedic. That was too slow without enough specials to use (like an expert pvp player told me: once you start healing all the other player has to do is keep you doing it untill your mind runs out then...you die).

So I switched to MR/MBH/MM/pistols XXX3...absolutly awsome damage, but with stims I could not stay alive long enough...the good part was 10 min with this toon with little knowlege of the specials I outdamaged a pvper in Lok and had him down to 10% health with myself at around 75% health..then he healed and knocked me down and like that I was down to 30% health when I got up I died...it sucked. But Holy Socks bat man Critical Shot/Body shot rocks.

Now I am MR/MC/MM/pistols XXX3/Med XX3X. I have soloed night sister all day and Ancient rancors (that hurt) and usually do the most damage in groups. Against high level mobs I have to know my roll and usually get 2 sniper shots offat 80m get em down about a quarter health, Stop shot em bodyshot/headshot, Kd/startle, and by the time they get in 30 meters they die. It by no means is a one hit killing temp but at least I can PLAY swg now instead of getting owned by Mercenaries on Lok (my doc temp), dying in like 60secs in a PvP battle (my Bh temp). This temp I have now is with crappy cloths NO food and a decent weapon. I imagine with some good modded clothing/armor and good food to boot I will kick booty left and right. So far I am happy with this temp.

To each their own.

Thanks to all of you

I have taken a bit of each's advice and got hold of the following Temp - MBH MC P0003 M 0020

This allows me to have kickass specials, awsome defence, healing abilities, and with the help of Spice and Dstims, I am almost ubber =]

I like this char very much now

All I need now is a normal Carbine which I dont seem to have enough money to buy, and no luck with the avatars. I'll find something =]
