Does anyone else have the "Problem" that i'm having, that i constantly seem to outdamage other members of my groups and draw unwanted aggro onto myself.
Is it just me?
Let me know what you think and if you've had similar experiences.
Oh and btw im not using area attacks.

Nah, Seems to be perfectly fine to me. I outdamage all the other members in my group then spam heal myself. I will reach master doc in no time at the way I am going. This is great for me as I can easily heal myself over any tank that might think they can hold the agro.
Oh... this isn't how the system is suppose to work?
800 point shot plus one 750 bactaspray means I own agro. Don't even try and take it from me with your tiny little taunt!

Same here, im a combat medic as well.......
So with all the shooting and healing i do, i attract all the aggro in about a 5 mile radius!!

Can you really get medical XP healing yourself?? I thought you could only get it healing others

Yes you'll get a certain percentage of the Weapons Experience you would've earned as Medical Experience instead. It's still much more efficient to simply heal others in a group rather than actually engaging in combat yourself.

I often drag aggro same as you in "pure" groups (no Jedi) but my heals keep me alive for a long enough.
You just haven't lived though until you've dragged the aggro of all the animals in a huge field on Naboo with Full Auto Area and tried to see how long you can stay alive.
Or spam FAA on Dantooine with a friend.

I too manage to pull the aggro. Today at the blackscale camp I was drawing and holding aggro in a group that included myself(carbines/bh), a carbineer/SL, a TKA, and a Jedi. I have just enough medic that I can get away with this without any real trouble, so I don't mind.

Most all Carbineers with BH have this problem......I even had it with Carbineer/CH and NOT using pets.....

Only a problem if you can't handle it. Decent armor and a good gun, plus medic 0020 and I am fine. Don't even have a H.E. shirt, since I have carbine tapes in my old pre nerf ubese shirt that I would rather use. I do plan to pick up a few AAs with H.E. though just to boost my heals for higher end stuff. We made it all the way to the blackscale compound before we lost our TKA/Doc, made it into the compoud to the warden, and then got royally messed up by a disgusting number of angry red dots.

If it's a problem , then use standard range attack for less damage. Even if you use low damege shots you can still be effective in the group firing low damage snares , roots, and knock downs.

I just picked up stopping shot from pistoleer, and it has been nice. I was doing fine with snares, but this just lets me do that much more. Get to 50m(no cybernetic arms yet) then root, bleed, and start with advanced crit and improved leg shot. Once root wears off I kd, 1-2 damage shots, then snare, and kite. I was doing well with just snares and kiting, so I am not at all relying on stopping, but it has worked itself into my tactics nicely.
Originally I had SL 0404, but I found I did need a bit more healing than just stim D's and Ruby could give me for higher end pve, so I dropped it in favor of medic and pistoleer. I miss volley fire and the extra base takedown prof, but the added defense and the root is well worth it.
