Well it sounds to me like you were attacking a Master Defender who was wearing a PSG. You shouldnt use an energy carbine for that guy anyway.

If they are wearing a PSG, go ahead and put your E11 or Elite away, and pull out a Nyms or a Czerka. Attacking a Mdef/PSG'd jedi with an energy carbine is suicide. I mean you can do it, and sometimes you will even win. But you are just prolonging the fight and increasing the possibility that he will force you to make a mistake. A 900 max damage Nyms (including the elemental) will hit that Jedi a LOT harder than your uber 1063 max E11/Elite.

I saw in the other thread you posted in here that you have a very nice Nyms, almost as nice as mine . I would definitely use that instead, and with a critical slice on it, you will do some serious damage to Mr. Mdef/PSG.

And on those points, I agree with you wholeheartedly. I am not a fan of the fact that the looted weapons and ADK's have essentially neutered to once great artform of custom weaponsmithing. Nowadays it is no grand feat to produce a double capped weapon. Weaponsmiths have become relatively cookie-cutter, and I hate it for them. And they hate it too. They work VERY hard in their professions to acquire the best resources and loot. And now thanks to the new enhancers, resource buffs, and relatively low caps, their best is often just as good as six other WS's out there.

Add in the fact that with an ADK a great weapon becomes the last that you will ever purchase, and you have a sad world indeed for the artists formerly known as weaponsmiths.

Sad indeed.

Now go take that beast of a Nyms and kick some Jedi arse.

But you can't get the Quest Carbines at 73 SAC either.....

And what were the actual Health numbers so we can look at the actual difference and compare?

Thanks, man... i was latelythinking on how to "tune" my Bola, this info here on how the numbers turn out after the slice saves me the trouble of calculating around and hoping that there's no cap in there where a damage slice would be wasted.
