Thread: SAC capped carbine...can it get lower?

Awesome, what do you think about a SAC pup on this gun though? Is it even worth it? I would think with a speed slice it would be, just to pour out damage and be able to keep it up. I am thinking from a more PvP perspective than PvE.

Anyone have an opinion on this?

Just wondering if anyone has tested this before I buy a crate of SAC pups.

I bought an E11 mark 2 with its SAC at 73, I understand this to be the SAC cap. speed is 2.54 and dmg range is like 489-887 (I believe, know the dmg is close to this). I have yet to slice it either, and I am thinking a speed slice is the best way to go here, but my question is this..

Can I apply a SAC pup and further reduce the SAC below its cap?

If this works, with a speed slice I could fire specials like a madman and never run out of action. 73 SAC is pretty low anyway, but I want to know before I waste money on the pups. The other alternative is get the speed slice then buy damage pups, my accuracy is already going to be pretty high as I am adding pistoleer 4400 to my master carbineer.

thanks for the input

Yes, powerups are not effected by crafting caps. Thus a damage powerup will allow your damage to exceed the max damage cap, and a SAC powerup will allow your SAC to go below the SAC cap.

If I were you, I would highly consider a damage slice. Your gun is low enough max damage that it would benefit from a level 3 damage slice, and this would leave you room to do a level 1 speed and level 1 critical slice as well. This would work well for you especially if you acquired carbine speed SEAs in your combat suit. If SEAs are not on your immediate horizon, then you might want to go with the speed slice as you proposed. Please see the slicing tool to gauge exactly how a slice would effect your gun: Clicky

As for pup, for extended battles I would go with a SAC pup even though you are already SAC capped. If you suspect the battle will be really short, or you know you have the support of others to cover you if your action drops, then a damage pup could work as well.

that is a great clicky, much appreciated, I will have to sticky it to the top when I get home so I always have it handy!
