Thread: Scatter Shot?
However, whenever I use Scatter Shot, it is consistently not doing that much damage. It does around 700, where my Rapid Fire hits in the 1300-1500 range, and Leg Shot being 1500-1700. Has anyone else encountered this?
Scatter Shot is and always has hit multiple times.....the Combat Log reports just one hit and it used to report just ONE point of damage ![]()
Check the actual Health loss from one shot on your target and you will find its damage is just fine, if not higher ![]()

Yup, I was getting my info from the combat log, silly me! I'll have to check it out again and maybe make room in toolbar for it.

Heaven forbid SOE would want you to actually look to the Combat Log for damage.....
If you can alternate carbineer specials with BH specials, then scatter shot probably won't turn up on your toolbar.
It still has one very specified use: killing people with cyberlimbs. As scattershot has the habbit of randimly hitting different bodyparts, the actually increased damage quite likely is much higher with scattershot than with about any other attack when shooting at those guys with two cyberarms. Otherwhise, the ability has good use for somebody who only has carbineer specials (lv. 64 guy, MCar7 /MCommando, etc...) as it can be used to fill in between legshots.
For somebody who also has the BH specials at hand, it generally has little use, you're probably better of by alternating critical shot and leg shot.
