i'm really interested to see how this will all turn out.
will it be possible under the new system fire carbines as fast as once per second? i wonder what HAM costs will look like?(my current favorite weapon is a high HAM, high accuracy, high damage laser carbine)
speculation runs rampant-- and i know this will all become clear to me in a week or two, but for now it's killing me

There are static wind-up/wind-down times associated with specials now. Which means that no amount of speed mods will make you use any weapon faster than the devs intend you to be, i.e., no more firing once per second (which was cheesy in the first place, except for pistoleers)
