In your opinion, what is better for a Laser carbine? I'm a master carbineer/BH Carbine 3 soI have lots of speed, but my laser carbine is damage sliced. I really like it when I get a huge hit and one-shot someone in PVP but most of the time I hit on the lower end so I wonder if speed is more useful. Your thoughts?

Hmm... just read over stuff about damage mitigation - looks like speed is taking the upper hand, and I may need to get a nice elite carbine made.

speed may be useless if you have BH carbine 3. What is your carbine speed modifier?

Id personaly drop to 3444 and BH carbine 4 for the nice dizzy shot. confusion shot is far more effective at the dizzy than FKD and chargeshot si a better KD anyhow.

That said yes get a Elite carbine as the lazers no longer cut it for PVP. As for the Spd at your currant build you have +105 carbine spd ( if i ddnt miss any mods) so thats a 105% reduction of spd to a min of 1 sec so Spd slices are ABSOLUTLY useless to you for any carbine at any spd using any special

the formula is like this

[(weapon spd)*(special Spd Mod)] * (1- (your Spd Mod / 100)

so you are multipling a spd say by a negitive number and we all know you cant fie back in time so SOE caps you at 1 sec

Really, you're positive? I could have a 4.6 speed Laser Carbine and it would hit the 1.0 speed cap with my speed mod of 105?

he's right, the elites are performing better in pvp now. especially vs opponents with damage mit 3. im using a speed sliced elites w/ scopes for pvp and im gettingbetter results than with a laser carb.

of course vs someone without damage mitigation or maybe with mitigation 1a laser carb is going to be fine but its hard to tell who has what as far as mitigation goes because not alot of people wear their master tags in pvp.

(100-105/100)*1(for no special)*(delay of weapon) = true delay w/o specials

Which still factors out to a negative number and thus your delay is 1s.

whats better to get to lvl brawler one-handed, speed or dmg sliced wpns?

i saw a curved sword 95-216, 2.2 delay, how would that work out?

What the person above me said. Speed while in the brawler tree. A damage sliced sword though is pretty good since they start out with a fast speed.

If you're going to go in fencer, look at getting a damage sliced gaderiffi baton. Those are the highest damage 1-handed weapons I could find. Downside is they are also the slowest. A few boxes of +speed in fencer though counter the speed. Also, they have one of the lowest mind cost. If you have good secondary buffs, the health and action costs can be zerod, then it's just a matter of the mind costs between weapons.

When you get to the point in Fencer that all your specials are at 1 second, having low mind costs is great.
