Thread: This Thought Cross Anyone Else's Mind After Readings The CU Info?

With armor piercing removed and many other attributes of weapons becoming more important for combat, have any of you thought that laser carbines will not be even close to as awesome as before? Of course the new carbines will probably become the new weapon of choice for most, or do you think I'm wrong and that laser carbines will still reign supreme?

For the most part the goal is make it so no weapon is the "best" choice. Part of the CU is going to be diversifying weapon selections for all profs, so i would expect to see moer carbineers carrying a larger variety of weaponary and making their choices based on the situation they are in and not the highest slice they can find.

Considering I know where all the Certs are located.....the Laser will most certainly be important along with most our weapons.....
Long gone are the days of getting all the weapons at or before Novice Carbineer.....about time people have to EARN their way thru Carbineer

Those 2 responses gave me a really good idea of what to expect for carbineer in the CU (or at least my own mental picture) and I gotta say I'm pumped for it. Finally I'll have a reason to have a dozen carbines in my backpack and a reason to hotkey each of them. I'll walk into a starport and pull out my master carbineer certified gun and know people envy it as they envy pistoleers with their DE-10's. Looks like a bright future in my opinion

Since TC is up, the Elite is at Master Carbineer...
The Laser dropped down (which I requested) but should still be worth plenty, it is in the Combat XP tree so more than a regular tier 1 weapon IMO......of course I didn't level up far enough to find out tonight LOL
