Great...then delete your jedi and regrind the way you feel it should be done. I have been grinding since Feb 04, first holos, then village, I unlocked in November and am still not a completed template. You are a complete and total idiot for posting this here. You have given everyone cause to nerf us more. Tard.

despite fierce competition, I've decided to honour you withmy Arox's Dumbest Post in the Thread award! Congratulations!

some of you people that are so enraged by this post need to step into the way back machine and re-examine your own role in the respec drama...

if you'll recall, it was very vocal double masters that respec-ed out of double mastery and then could not respec back into it that influenced the developers to change how the respec system worked. initially, unused points were not held over from respec to respec.

pressure from the users caused the developers to modify the process. since they were doing it in a hurry to appease the masses, they probably didn't fully examine the repercussions of the change they made. of course, in hindsight it's easy to see that that change totally altered the respec system into the system that allowed training and dropping novice boxes or lower level boxes to trade for higher level ones.

i don't believe the developers intended this. once it hit live and they realized how it was being used i think they couldn't come up with a reasonable 'fix' without turning off respec until it was done, so they just let it slide.

that being said, i don't think the respec was very well thought out to begin with. it should have allowed people to save their 'starting' points so they could respec to a 'lower' level and then back up. however, it would be hard to allow that without also allowing exactly what happened - using 'new' points as well to get to levels you had never had.

to everyone that's so annoyed by the jedi that used the respec system to their advantage: that's like being angry that you paid over $1000 for a vcr the first year they came out and now you can buy one for $50. are you also going to be angry if the devs lower the xp requirements for each skill? is someone who 'earned' jedi with 50 mil xp (having lost a ton to bh deaths) more deserving of their jedi than someone who only gained 30 mil?

regardless of how someone achieved their finished character (grind, respec, ebay), we are all jedi and we all face the same issues (bh attacks, borked skills, etc).
