Commandos do well over 3k damage with that and dont aggro everything out to 64 meters.


With that said i vote: CONE BLEED


Simply becuase it would set it apart from the standard bleed setup which WILL lead to unforeseen situations where this would be 'overpowered'.

ideally:

when achieving actionShot2

/actionShot1 = becomes higher damage than having just actionshot1 alone
/actionShot2 = AoE effect

ie: the original skill becomes more effective
the new skill adds an additional way of using the original lower damage skill. (in this case area effect)

I've used this as crowd control, at least in the past before the posistion attack was resisted by everything under the sun.


I would prefer High dmg, AOE bleed that RELIABLY applies to everything in the cone. I use cone effects all the time, and I love them. AS2 has been extremely disappointing because of its severe lack of effectiveness and reliability of its application. Many MANY times i've used it and all I get is dmg reports above the head of the mobs in the cone, with no damage applied and no bleed.


Keep it cone, our AOE's are what make this class great. Get it to work right, and this is a great skill, with or without the posistion attack.

even though im not a carbineer, i hope this helps you out a bit.


I would want the carbineers that I group with to be the crowd control guys. Just like commando is AOE damage, rifle is long range damage, pistol is (well supposed to be) short range quick damage.


When I had dirty fighting 3 (smuggler) i could literally keep stuff away from my group with panic shot/low blow. Thats what I expected the master carbineer in my group to be doing , but all he could do was spam a 3k damage shot and single kd until his ham bars quit on him.


So I'd suggest maybe putting in more crowd control stuff into carbineers instead of more bleeds?


like make chargeshot2 be aoe dizzy attack only (so then charge shot 1 can have carbineer kd'ing them one by one), make other specials do things like making target's weapon un-equip (single target), making people go to prone position in 1 shot (not kneeling), make creatures LOSE aggro away from the target they have aggroed (aka kamurith chasing medic, shoot this and the kamurith will attack the next person in its hate list.. probably you), attacks that INCREASE the delay of other's to shoot back (aka, make the target lose like 25% of its speed mods for about 10 seconds)


things like that.
