If the ability to spam chargeshot is intended then please explain this (I'm not trolling or flaming I want a valid reason for the following statement)

5. The KD/posture change timer was a big nerf to carbineers.

They strongly disagree and indicate that further discussion is not needed. They believe that KD and posture changes that were not timed resulted in Carbineers being able to solo things that players should not be able to solo. The timers are needed to balance combat. However, they do acknowledge that adding the timers removed the class distinction of crowd control Carbineers once had. Over the next combat publishes, the Developers want to give Carbineers distinction again. In following up that statement, Thunderheart has asked me to engage the Carbineer community by asking for suggestions on how to make Carbineers distinctive again. I will be doing just this in a soon to follow thread. Further, Thunderheart has indicated he will be visiting our forums soon so that he can get first hand knowledge of our issues. While this provides no promise of direction action, I firmly believe that discussion of these issues with the Developers will ultimately result in our class becoming distinctive, fun and desired in groups.

All you have to do is go look at Blufker's post history to see he got totally pwned by a Carbineer and now feels it is his personal mission to go "edumacate" the masses.

Bluf, could your intentions be more transparent?

And could you answer the questions posed...while chargeshot spam may broken, it is not anymore overpowring that the non-broken KD+dizzy. Yet you still troll here on the Carbineer forums daily preaching the word.

As I said the last time I posted on you thread, you sir are a poor loser who feels the need to justify the fact that you got beaten in PvP by making sure everyone knows it had nothing to do with your ability, but this overpowering bug.

So riddle me this sherlock....where are all the Carbine users if we are teh ub4r as you contend? Last I checked, PvP is still dominated by Commandos, BHs, and TKAs. But **edit** do I know, I'm a Carbineer...

I don't know why I ask, since you won't answer my question anyway...you will just cut and paste the same thing you keep saying over and over.

And FYI, until you start learning to use paragraphs, I refuse to read anymore of your 13-year-old-esque ramblings.

I think all the arguments have pretty much been laid out, except for one. How many of us in here have been here since launch? And how many of us remember getting underhand shot spammed on us for 1500 damage? I'm talking about back in the day, BEFORE 75% PvP reduction. BEFORE knockdown timers. Yes blufker, there was a time when there were NO timers on ANY knockdown's OR posture changes.

Your whole argument that "spammable knockdowns were NEVER intended" is a load of hooey. Quite obviously they were intended, in the original version of the game. The dev's simply found them to be overpowering, and instituted a timer to prevent abuse. We have brought this to the dev's attention and been told that it is working properly. The only way we seem to be able to get attention is by using it on all the crying-whining-twelve-year-olds out there (like you) so that they come in here and start crying that we need to get nerfed because we are too powerful. Maybe if pistoleers didn't dodge it all the time we could get their attention, and we all know that once the pistoleers start spamming nerfshot EVERYTHING falls.

So let me thank you, for trying to help this class get the attention it deserves. Maybe while they're fixing chargeshot1, they can fix chargeshot2, and the dizzy on fullautosingle 1 and 2, and fullautoarea 1 and 2, the damage on burstshot2, and do something with suppression fire 2 (which I still can't find a use for,) and the stupid AOE on actionshot2, and the damage on legshot3, and maybe we can get a special at master like EVERY OTHER COMBAT CLASS.

Hmmm.... that started me thinking. Is there a special we have that ISN'T messed up in some way? I mean if chargeshot is messed up too, like blufker says, then that leaves what, legshot1 and cripplingshot? YAY!!! I'm a master carbinier with TWO working shots!!!

Wait, I'm sorry, I forgot about the ones in the speed tree, does anyone really use those? If so, how are they? Are they any good? How are they messed up? I'm pretty sure something is wrong with them, they are after all carbineer moves.

Not trolling and not a noob but I do find it odd that there are multiple professions with a ranged knockdown but carbineers are the only profession that has one without a timer. I saw where it said it's "working as intended" but that still leaves me with questions.

Why is low blow on a timer since it's virtually the same as carbineers chargeshot. It's basically a ranged non dizzy knockdown. The difference is you have to be standing to do chargeshot1. What about pikeman or pistoleers? They also have non dizzy knockdowns so why arethey on timers? Also why is the TKA's first knockdown (the non dizzy knockdown)and the 4 knockdowns given at master brawler on timers as well. My point is that I simply find it odd that out of all the non dizzy knockdown's that one profession that is very very bugged is the only profession without a timer on their knockdown.

Also in that state of the profession you say that not having chargeshot on a timer is working as intended but then further down you complain that the KD timers remove carbineers ability to do crowd control. Those two statements conflict.

Remember I'm not trolling (or I don't mean to be) however I do find it odd that with a universal KD timer in place that carbineers (a very bugged combat profession that needs dev love) are the only profession exempt from this timer.

I personally do suspect it's a bug just based on the bugginess of the game and the bugginess of Carbineers in general. However if it is a bug then it's the rare case that it's actually a positive bug (like power blaster handlers in FWG5's and Scatter pistols)

It has been explained a couple of times that chargeshot is in fact on a timer. The first KD caused by chargeshot1 does a regular KD with the unable to attack while KD'ed plus the damage bonus to a KD'ed person. Every KD that occurs after the first KD for the next thirty seconds essentially keeps the target in a non moving postition. The target can attack at any time during the /stand animation, I've gotten hit with torso shot twice before the /stand animation was even completed. As far as I know, there is also no damage bonus for any of the KD's after the first chargeshot KD.

Is overpowered? If you think it is, then i'd hate to know what your opinion is on TKA, BH dizzy+knockdown combo as well as any other profession that has both a dizzy and a knockdown.

I guess i better not mention using a spraystick (speed factor) and getting flurryshot1 to compliment your carbineer skills. Because hey, you can get a ranged dizzy and KD with less sp than going after the BH carbine tree.

Ok, if Carbineers are so powerful via an exploit, WHY ARE THERE NOT TONS OF CARBINEERS RUNNING AROUND? Take a look around! Everyone and their mother has followed some TKA tree.

Chargeshot 1 is USELESS when trying to hit a rifle/tka or a pistoleer fencer, any shot is.

I will hold onto master carbineer until the fixes go in and they fix the dodge, block, couterattack from stacking. Until then PvP is pretty usless for me. I stand no chance.

Because it's still unknown. Remember TKA's have been in the game since launch and they've always had a KD+Dizzy and it's only become a "problem" since all the FOTM types discovered it a few months ago. Up until that point they were all "Expert Bounty Hunters"

I'll tell you this though. More and more people are starting to discover it. It's the game's best kept secret but as soon as the FOTM types find out about it expect thousands of carbineers to pop up overnight. More and more people are starting to talk about chargeshot1 as their preferred PvP move.

Oh everyone's a carbineer, how can everyone be a carbineer, pistoleer/fencer, rifleman/TKA/fencer, Combat Medic, doctor, or whatever profession the nerf herders want nerfed next.

I'm sick of this nerfing Bull crap.
