cuz it was a holo prof and 4 stacking bleeds are fun (at least until the patch). And its better than chef... lol

Master Rifleman + Master Swordsman + Master Brawler mind killer template. Put the remaining pts in Medic or TK for more defenses?

Yeah, I know but I think they will have to back off or otherwise people will be unstoppable. There's a reason why people pick Mind to attack, because its a waste of time to focus on anything else in a buffed composite stim d world.

Anyone else?

Sounds like a good template to me. I'm a Master Rifleman/Fencer/Brawler, which works well aside from the fact that the two professionsfocus different HAM pools. But Fencer was one of my holo professions, and I was too lazy to surrender it and go swordsman/TKA

What do you mean they are changing the way to target 1 pool? Is something going to change in the next patch about targeting Mind?

I wish people would stop saying this. This was based on a poorly worded and even more poorly read statement saying that they wanted to "remove mind as a special damage type." People read "special damage" to mean damage from special abilities. But mind is a "special" damage type because it, alone, is unhealable. So what they are in almost all likelihood talking about is making mind healable and, therefore, no different than damage done to health or action. Thus, it will no longer be a "special damage type." If you read the whole quote, you cannot interpret it to mean that mind would no longer be targetable because they said they wanted put equal emphasis on damage to all pools. Thus, if they are going to remove mind damage from specials, they would have to remove health and action damage targeting from specials as well. They could not do otherwise and make the way they handle damage on all three pools equal. Since they did not say, "remove health, action, and mind as special damage types," the only plausible explanation is that they are making mind healable to handle it the way they do health and action.


Therefore, they will eventually make mind damage more healable (more so than what can be done now). But do not expect to see this until they change the way specials use HAM as part of the combat rebalance (which seems to have been postponed again).One of the reasons mind damage is currently unhealable is that, if it was not, you would be able to heal indefinitely. You would heal health and action using mind, then heal mind then be able to heal health and action again, and so on. The combat rebalance will change it so that HAM usage is unhealable (taking from the secondaries temporarily, which cannot be healed with Stims). Since healing uses HAM (i.e., mind) to heal, the HAM usage from the heal will not be healable, so infinite heals will not be possible. At that point, they can make mind damage healable, and balance out the HAM usage the way they want to.


But remove mind targeting? No. They are not doing that.

I am a Master Rifleman/Master Swordmsan/Master Brawler with Medic 0 1 0 0. I love the template. I went with medic to be able to heal myself, and 0 1 0 0, to be able to do it faster. TK for the defenses or for Meditate would be good, but I prefer to be able to heal myself.


The only problem with this template is that it has low vs. state defenses. Neither rifleman nor swordsman have high KD nor high Dizzy defenses, and that is the most common KD combo you encounter. But it is a template designed for offense, so if you believe in high offense rather than high defense, it is a good template.

Excellent info, thanks. I had thought this is a stomach-limited template since you would need Thakatillo for the def vs KD and whatever the food is for def vs Dizzy, plus brandy, Synthsteak, Citrus Snow Cake...gah.

Are the Master Brawler specials really worth all the skill points they suck up?

Mate atm im Master rifleman/tka but i have been swordsman. i find that with high resist composite stun is only really a weapon that will damage. im gonna perfecting my template over the next few days to:
Master Rifleman/Master TKA/pistoleer 0040/medic 2030 (think medic fits)

This is because the rifleman is good for offence at range with the jawa, killing peoples minds. if they get in close i switch to my VK, and put all the status' on them under the sun and KD+dizzy if it will stick. then i go back to the jawa, the pistoleer is for the high staus defences as with some low filling def vs KD food ill have 150kd defence and 90 posture down defence i think.

About 85 carbine speed but I already have a +10 carbine speed tape so I pretty much hit the cap and I still have 170 carbine accuracy. Also get around 85 Pistol speed and the Geo cert with Torso and Eyeshot. (Already have a 400 max damage Geo). Next to nill defenses though, pure offense here. I figure if I can stick them with a nice confusion shot KD/Dizzy, then switch to Geo and wail on them. Suggest maybe moving different trees around?

In my experience this might not work on a 1 on 1 basis...the reason i say this is cuz most people (on tempest) stack what defences they have, i know a guy that has 125 KD & Dizzy defence...so if it is pure offence then id say yur dead if yur not in a big group


My template (in sig) is pretty good, what i do is i 1hand dizzy & 1hand blind, then i spam Scatter hit 2..now if they kite i have my back up of FAS2 and Chargeshot which work fairly well, plus i have good stun armor and a good Acklay Stun baton (30% damage slice, yay!)

Mixed it up a bit more

Carbineer 0404
Pistoleer 0140
BH 0440

No counterattack and almost no dodge but quite a bit of Def Vs. KD and dizzy. I'll probably drop the whole pistoleer deal and remaster carbineer if they ever balance stun and mind damage.
