Carbs from what I saw yesterday is an awesome support profession too when in a group. We were in a situation where you had to stay out of the range of manned turrets, so your targets were just about at max range, whenever their mind got low from my head shots, they'd retreat back to safety, so, the guy I gave those Carbines to would Dizzy/KD them, and I'd finish them off since they can't run.
Yeah, I was going for more of a support character (and the ability to buff my Jedi when needed
)
I am a Master Doc/Carbineer
I know Carbineer alone is gimped compared to a lot of other classes, but I don't think we'll get shafted again once the CU comes.

tactics....tactics....
an intimidated/blinded rifleman won't bother you much...
melee stackers can be taken down with a good laser and some kiting
rifles/cm: open with KD/post down and dizzy shots...they have bad defenses
jedi: ouch

Well, i'm still working my way up carbineer, but I can already tell, its no slump profession in pvp. The state stacking you can do is great. When just about everyone and their brother went to melee stacking, I thought i missed out on the jackie chan expansion pack or something, but most any stacker can be beat by kiting them.
Anyone with a well thought out template, along with some decent equipment, some buffs, and the right food is going to be able to hold their own in pvp. I can't wait to test out my template once its done.

For me, being a Carbineer Defense Stacker, I love taking on Melee Folks toe to toe and beating them.....of course some with crazy weapons beat me, but I have laughed at plenty "uber" melee n00bs that can't beat me when I stand still
It is amazing how underestimated a player is if they have a Master Carbineer title above their head

Even worse how much they refuse to believe they weren't beaten by a master carbineer, and that you must of had the BH carbines line

Well I have been a Master Carbineer a whole 4 days now yeaa!!!!!! My PvP Rating was 1429 when I first started Pvping as Carbineer, My PvP rating 4 days later 1493 and I have been killed several times (by Jedi of course). Have absolutely no luck against Jedi (there just doesn't seem to be anyway of getting past that saberblock) melee ppl don't bother me that much, you just stay away from them and ranged are the easiest to fight (IMHO).
My current Template is now M Carbineer/Doc 4/0/0/0/CM 3/2/0/4
I actually use the CM more for healing in grps activity but when I face DOTs I will start chucking no doubt. I have had a blast so far with carbineer.

Heh, same here. I barely see any Riflemen on Starsider anymore.. everyone is a DoT-wh*re or defense-stacker. I honestly cannot remember the last time I saw a Rifleman opponent.. which is pretty scary. 80% armor + PSGs = useless Riflemen, really.
Our PvP encounters generally boil down to Fires/Poisons and a whole lotta warcries.. and doc/cm heals flying all over the place. It gets pretty repetitive..
Luckily, most are meleer's with no Ranged Mitigation which means I consistantly hit for 800-1000 damage and up.

Man im going to have the last laugh when the combat upgrade hits and all the soldiers of swg are suddenly hit with a template change where a range could have an upper hand a better chance at fighting against other opponents.

I read in the state of states post that was linked to that stun reduces Saber Block. Can anyone confirm this or is it just wishful hyperbole?
