as it stands now, whats in the skill trees:
Pistoleer has the DH17 pistol. All the other new pistols that are certed so far are in other profs.
Carbineer has nothing new in it. All the new carbines so far are in other profs.
Theres still a handful of weapons to be certed, and im sure they ll put at least 1 in Carb.
None of the "loot" weapons will ever appear in the skill trees.....the skill trees are for WS skill tree listed weapons. "Loot" weapons will be cert'd on them weapon itself, which is also not showing thru the Frogs on TC5 right now.
yup. thus the bright light at the end of the tunnel.

Actually, the DH17 pistol is an old weapon, but like most pistols and early certed carbs, not much worth using. Also, it is identical to the DH17 carbine, and unlike other pistols, is held in both hands even when not attacking, so it looks exactly like the carbine.

Pistoleers got 2 guns, and rifleman got what like 1 new one? Carbs got one new one, so what is your point?

Berzerker and DRX6 rifle that's two and I've just got this feeling there was a third. Can be wrong though. When you're waiting for your class to get a new weapon that's actually usefull you kind of loose perspective on the other classes.
And well, if you had ever checked the diffrence between a Nym and either of the other classes new ranged weapons you would see what I mean.

haha. i dont remember ever seeing one in 2 years of playing.
He is right and I thought I was the only one that noticed it is just like the carbine version. That is so wierd. Anyway I am just hoping that I will be able to use the Bothan Bola as a Carb/Commando. Also hope that it is Bothan only use and has to be made by a Bothan WS lol. But then again I am a bothan so it would not effect me much. I would however have to grind weaponsmith to make it, then borrow a friends 12 point suit to make it, but it would be worth it. Carbineers are rare, Bothans are rarer and Bothan Carbineers are one of the rarest things. Like pre FOTM pikemen/bothans lol. Anyway I know it would not be fare if it was bothan only but i dont care lol.

Not happening to my knowledge....and I know where the cert is and there is no special species restriction from what I have seen.

For those needing info from more than just me on Certs.....take it from a RED NAME from the Commando Forum:

I've also heard that the massassi is certed to Commandos, and the proton is certed to the Commandos, and some people still think the blasterfistis acommando weapon. I wish they would release the profession docs like they said they would or at least give us some clarification as to who gets what.
But if the BHs get the Proton carbine, and we get this friggen... rock with a handle and a blade sticking through it, I'm going to be VERY UNHAPPY.
Since when was the masassi rifle "commandoesque" anyway? I mean, the proton isn't bounty hunteresque, since when did they run around with assault rifles shooting down their prey? That's our job!
None of the certs are set in stone at this stage. Up until last night, Commandos were slated for the Massassi Ink Rifle. As a testament of how things are likely to change throughout the course of testing (based on constructive feedback and testing experience), the Massassi Ink Rifle is no longer certed to Commandos.
This is just one of the several changes to weapons that may make it onto TC within the next couple of days (subject to change, of course).

Hey TA, any word (or unofficial hint) that you are allowed to disclose on the status of the Proton Carbine yet?
Just trying to plan some templates, and I really want to get that into it, because, well, I am one of those wacky roleplayers that often cares more about style over substance!

Well....TA didn't answer yoru question...so I'll try to. The BH correspondent has stated that the Proton Carbine is slated to be the Master BH certified carbine. Now, I think what TA has expressed is that certs aren't set in stone....but if you want a bone thrown your way....looks like MBH's get it for now.
