Thread: My new PvP carbine : ) Show yours off also?
Here it is with a 27% damage slice and a powerup : ) 27% makes me happy, not quite what i wanted but could have ben a lot worse

The slice realy brings out the beauty of this weapon imo : ) Im just past the speed cap for FAS2 and almost at it for cripple...so its hard to say wich shot to use.
With all this talk of lasers though i think im going to have an uber one made up just to try it out.
Btw, as for the stocks showing up to others...Well i asked my slicer if he could see it before slice...Nope...then after slice...Still no : ( I kinda thought he would see it after he held it so it loaded client side but guess not. Ahh well its not super important but would be nice .
If anyone wants to do some math, How good of a laser would you have to have to match the dps of my new elite against a person with damage mitigation 3? Off hand im guessing around 650 or so. Consider the laser having about a 3 second speed because it would have some tissues and an imp stock in it also to keep it even...could even call it 2.4 speed to match mine. Not expecting an awnser for this but im lazy and all i can do is look at the spread sheats not input any data so i have to do the math the long way.

can u see a stock or scope when u look at ur character during normal gameplay, or does the stock and scope only appear on gun in the inventory window when examining the gun?
cus i think the stocks should show up where everyone can see theat ur gun has a stock , that would look cool
please someone help me with this
thanks all
Yes, you see the Stock and/or Scope on YOUR character only.

weaponsmiths have been told the optional components only show up to your own character or in trade window to reduce lag...if you run around and everyone's weapon is that much more complex, i guess coronet would drop-kick players' computers even worse.
interesting thing as well, is even the person holding the weapon it won't have the visible components if you double click on them from a crate to fill the components slot while crafting, you have to remove the stock/scope (if they're in a crate) to get them in your basic inventory to have it combine correctly.
also, make great showpieces since the components show up visible to everyone if dropped in a house. nothing looks better than a stocked and scoped laser carbine... http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=44036...quick imagedump search and found a nice shot of one.

Actually the Elite carbine w/stock and scope is by far the best looking of the bunch.
