Mitigate everything to Health, Action and their relative substats.

Pack your belly full of Brandy and Canapé.

Smoke yourself a moun.

Be sure to have at least novice medic.

Stock up on the best Stim-B:s money can buy.

Make a macro for every attack you have.

Something like:

/fullautoarea2;
/fullautoarea2;
/target self;
/healdamage self;

Or wait untill the combat re-balance and see what that brings.

I'm not looking forward to re-mitigating my maxed mind-stats to counter a new HAM-system now that Image Designers have a stranglehold on chaning stats. But hey... I might be needlessly cynical

BTW Yes it is true, I've tested it myself, poison only ticks once every TEN seconds!

Its possible, you have to use a good krayted DH17, and a krayted E11, but it can be done, EE3's can be usefull too, but you have to be carefull what you fight, and bleeds are very important.

DJODoc's advice to find a good DH17 Snubnose is excelent advice. i have a couple i use nearly exclusively when i am out soloing (which is 99.9% of the time). a couple hits of brandy with my chestplate and a helm and i am good to go for quite some time. i am not saying i run out to the Geo caves like this, but i do not have much trouble handling most of the red cons on Tatooine. i will not take on a Tusken Warlord un-buffed, but most of the critters from bantha to mountain squill to mountain dewbacks are little danger in small groups and are done for one-on-one.

i have pretty well have a one to one ratio (one tough red con to one 400 power Stim B) when i am out fighting tougher mobs un-buffed. i try to use my specials like...well...specials, rather than spam shots. one of the things i LIKE about carbineer is it requires me to use my strength tempered with caution. the carbineer motto of 'i bet i can kill me before you can kill me' is funny, but not really a joke.

so the answer *I* would give is yes, i solo tougher mobs un-buffed with my good DH17 Snubnose carbines all the time.

You can but at least know some medic and have some vaserian brandy on hand so you don't drain your mind healing the rest. E-11's, EE3's, and DH-17's are nice to have if your going to run around without buffs. But those stocked and scoped beauties that everyone has. Well expect to get off four shots at the most and take a trip to the clone center. Also helps to have your secondaries maxed out and powerboost.

I ran around like that for a few months. Could solo anything but krayt and nightsisters if i played my character right.

Sure you can hunt without doctor buffs... just dont plan on using ANY of your specials...

*You FullAutoSingle2 an Enraged Rancor for 1486 points of damage*

*You have fallen incapacitated*

*You have died, Requesting Clone Activation*

While I am one of the leading members for the Extinction of Enraged Rancors, we shall see a scenario like this after the Combat Balance I am sure....

There is no way SWG can continue with so many of us able to mop the floor with Enraged Rancors and barely get a scratch.....
