Thread: Carbineer PvP Tactics: post yours. secondary subject: Elites and DXR6...
I'm a fan of fullautoarea-ing from the flanks for PvP. You gotta be careful, though, as it requires you to a) sneak around separated from your group -- coordination is key, as is adequate recon/attention to the radar b) you gotta wait till your enemy starts firing on stuff and c) good judgement is a must -- apply a few shots from places they're not paying attention, then slip away. The blinds, stuns, and damage does plenty to help your group even if you don't singlehandedly kill them (by which time you'd have killed yourself -- area attacks are great efficiency-wise when you take the whole group into account, but you'll kill yourself from HAM far before you kill your targets since you're spreading the efficiently large amount of damage out).
Aside from that, or in smaller groups, I'll typically send my non-CH pet in and time an actionshot for right before he reaches them -- he gets the melee multiplier for kneeling, they get some tasty action wound accumulation. The wounding isn't battle-swaying for short run-ins, but if you're sticking around long enough that there's cloning going on on both sides, the attrition adds up to quite a difference.

The only time a break the macro is if I see the guys mind take a shot. Then I switch to Scatter II.

Area Heal (if needed)
Rinse, repeat.
I'm a Master Doctor as well as a Carbineer, so I can afford to use high damage carbines that have REALLY bad HAM costs (40/70/40 anyone?). Anyway, my initial assault is pretty standard.

*from here is usually goes two ways, I begin using legshot3 to decimate their action pool or switch to crippleshot, legshot3 if they don't bother healing or crippleshot if I find that they are a Master Doctor as well and are using 3k heals every couple of seconds*
Also, I sometimes use both scattershot2 and fullautosingle/area2. Scattershot2 is useful for trying to pick off that last little bit of mind and fullauto's are useful for trying to lower their accuracy (with blind) while I run my Doctor butt away waiting for my bleeds to work.

if i were to pursue Master Carbineer, what sort of weapons should i expect to see? are there any uber variants? equivalents to the scatter, FWG5, uber DX2s (i've seen them at 1.7, 105-250 unsliced), etc? curious as to what the top-of-the-line DXR6 and Elite would look like, or even an uber DH17.
thank you...
more thanks...
also:
that uber DX2 i posted was a krayt tissue bad boy selling (in Sickle's old Krayt Weaps shop on Tarquinas) for 750k credits.
there were 2 of them...not sure if they ever sold or not.

Remove all clothes and armor, run around screaming "I AM THE DEVIL!"
Then as people laugh uncontrollably I pimp them with Chargeshot and start screaming "SATAN IS IN YOU!!! SATAN IS IN YOU!!!"
Forgot my weapons
