In HP and "level" perhaps. The power comes from the actual skills.
Besides, I don't think character level comes into play in PvP.

I havemany newbquestions. Since the search feature is not working, I'll ask it here.
I am a CL14 (Novice Carbineer). I have noticed a better carbine for CL22. What constitutes a CL22? Is it a 2/2/2/2 Carbineer?
Also, as a Master Carbineer, is that a CL54?
I am also having issues finding out what armor I can wear as a CL14. Is there a guide that anyone knows about on armor?
I'm sorry for all the questions. I'm sure that they have all been answered many times. I am just frustrated and the search is not working which is further frustrating.
Thanks in advance,
Surefix

Not sure exactly how the CL is calculated but Carbineer 2222 would take you higher then 20 I am pretty sure, Master Carbineer seem to be at CL 55 (unless my scout/medic skills added up a bit).
As a carbineer you can wear all battle armor when you hit novice, some skill boxes in carbineer reduces the armor penalties you get to movement, weapon speed and such. Battle armor is normal storm trooper armor, padded armor, bone armor and a few more.
Most weapons requires a certain CL, a few others also requires a certain certificate that you get at in some skillboxes, usually the master box. Elite Mk 2 carbine is for example a CL 54 Master Carbineer only weapon.
If I have understood the system you could be novice carbineer with master doctor and be able to use a CL 50 carbine because the master doctor profession would put you at a CL of 55+.
Check this thread for more information about weapons and this thread for information about armor.

Scout skills *do* count towards your CL. That was one of my biggest troubles early on; my scout skills increased my CL, but my actual combat abilities weren't up to par since scout skills are easier to get. It made soloing things of equal or even slightly lower CLs hard as hell.
I'm not sure where a straight up Master Carbineer would fall, but as Master Carbineer/rifleman 0100/novice bh/scout 4344, I was a level 58.
I'd estimate that a pure carbineer would be between 40 and 50 at Master, but not quite 54.

I am pretty sure a master "combat" profession alone is CL 55 (or at least 54), or the weapons certified at master boxes wouldnt be any good for such people unless they pick up a secondary combat profession...

Does anybody know if a full branch of jedi skills (ex. 4000 healer) counts the same as a mastered elite combat prof. for levels? For instance, if I am 4000 healer, and master TK will I still be level 80? I can't find any info on this subject, and I am hoping someone has tried this.

The template calculator from bloodfin.org includes the CL rise as you add boxes if you want to test and see for yourself.

To answer your question though.
A TKM and Jedi Healer 4000 is level 67 with 116 skill points left.
Most likely whatever you have in those 116 skill points will take you to Level 80 unless it is merchant or crafter stuff.
