Using -.3 tissues with and imp stock and 34% speed slice you should hit 2.0 right on the dot. The problem with DXR6es is that they take 6 tissues, so getting a good slice can be tough.
Yeah, as much as I love them, I hate relying on slices for carbine performance. I'd prefer to come right out of the barrel with a fair speed, then let the slice be a wild card to either get great speed or enough of a damage boost to make the carbine worth the loss of the edge.

So, If I'm capped on speed, a Krayt dxr6b would be ideal for me, all experimentation into damage/range..? (Keep in mind this is for pure pvp use only). Or should I instead go into a nice Krayt elite? I want stock/scope on both.

I'd suggest DXR-6 for sure. And if your using a 12 point smith, use the extra points in durablity instead of range. Using points on that line makes a very small difference (maybe 1-2 range per point used). If you don't care about HAMs ask the weaponsmith to experiment range on an Adv. Scope instead of HAM.

Well, see, I was thinking I would have a dh17 made for state application/kd, pour all the points into range (i've heard they can get up to +108). But the durability idea isn't bad.

I can get 83 range on a Laser Carbine without using a single point on range on the final combine. If I put experimenation points into range it'll go to 85. If not I can get over 1k durablity.

I'm currently using 2 carbs for pvp: both PUPd, a 240-440 dxr6, and a 120-595 laser.
The dxr6 is used almost exclusively, due to mitigation, but the laser makes an appearance when i fight a pure melee guy with no mitigation.
Both have freaky high speed(4.2), but i'm capped, so don't mind.
