From the TOP of every Forum:

Please remain on topic for the Star Wars Galaxies forums, do not use these forums to discuss Politics or Religion.

TA, I admire you as a moderator, but regarding the previousthread which resulted in you posting this and regarding the stern action in which you warned, Idecided to re-read the rules. I also want to point out the wordoutlined in red above. Please is not requirement, it's a request, and from a political junkie such as myself.....I have to say that I (and that other fella) excersiced great restraint by being 100% respectful and pithy.

The following is a summary of the Forumrules and of the actions that took place in that other thread:

Rule 1: We are all Here to Help: I was only trying to help

Rule 2: Be Friendly and Courteous: We were both friendly and courtious

Rule 3: Be Relevant: The discussions, although not relavent to SWG, they were relevent to the original poster.....which wasn't relavent to SWG, but nobody complaind about that. (Nor should they have)

Rule 4: Be Legal: Nothing illegal

Rule 5: No Spam: No Spam took place

Rule 6: Enforcement: No rules broken, so no enforcement needed

Rule 7 Limitation of Liability: Legal jargon

I respect your authority, but wielding it wildly (When unfounded) doesn't promote free discussions. You've requested that people participate in these forumsbeyond simply using the 1-5 star system, then you squelch a discussion. (Go figure?)

Very true....but don't fall into the trap of so many others here thinking that I am responding PERSONALLY TO YOU. When I do, I quote people

And that PLEASE is just SOE's way of being nice, they delete hundreds and hundreds of posts every day.....this is aFAMILY forum and they error on the side of caution ALWAYS.

And in Doc's thread, you folks have no idea how insulting that discussion on politics and government was......and now I am the bad guy because I broke one of my own rules about posting "warnings" instead of just /report them.

There is more than just the ToS, The Seven Daily Rules

Which you first did not refer to, but which i also covered.(I took the time to take a look into the documents refered to in the "Limitation of Liability", too, althoughi didn't go through all of them... i am not a lawyer, so i kinda got lost in some of them.) Still, except the above mentioned statement at the top of every forum i found nothing which could be interpreted to make our conversation a break of rules. Samijx pretty well summed up why he sees no violation, and i can do nothing but agree upon that.

Also i have to say, deleting the postings on the original thread is not helpful here. Since the corresponding postings are deleted, the whole discission on this place now seems empty and without meaning, as nobody can still fully reproduce them. (Though, a portion of the posting i have in my quotes.) [I also have to say, i don't see that as a matter of "pwn" or something like that, like Orange5 called it. I think we have a civil conversation, not a battle here, so there is no "owning" or something like that.]
