How do you get the Geo Carbine? I've done the bet with sorrdan and killed the 24 Ullers, now he just repeats the quest.

and now i've done it 5-6 times and nothing but a flare pistol

For the Hunting Ground quests that you get through the Rodian hunters, I'm not sure which one starts, you, but it's probably Ziven. It's the Themepark format where you have to do questsfor everyone and work your way up to the top.

For the hunting grounds, there's four types of animals: Ullers, Wallugas, Moufs, and Webweavers.

For each animal type, you will get a hunting quest, that will involve usually two missions, none are too difficult for a master fencer. You have to kill a certain amount of each creature.

Every time you complete the set of missions for a particular animal, you have to talk to Sordan Xris. He offers you a bet, whether you can kill a certain amount of that creature in a limited time.

The Ullers get you the Squad Leader flare gun. The Wallugas get you the Geo Carbine. The Moufs get you the Xris Acid Sword, and the Webweavers get you the Hyper Fallann Rifle.

In addition, you will also be sent on a quest to hunt down some Chiss, before you get the Mouf sequence that gets you the Acid Sword. After this, there is some business about getting access to the Hracca Glades for a very high-end quest, but I haven't gone there yet.

Since the wagers take over 20 minutes and the hunting missions take about a half hour or so (you can't use speeders in Etyy), I'd say you're looking at at least six hours. I enjoyed it overall, and the acid sword is worth it.

Another tip, the single hardest leg of the quest for me was the wager involving Uller Warhoofs, especially solo. You shouldn't havea problem if you're in any size group. The problem with the Ullers is that they are not dangerous, but they are time consuming to take down. You have to hunt them as efficiently as possible. No two specials of the same kind twice in a row, other than Melee Hit. No spamming specials in general, rely on melee hit for auto-attack for a lot of each fight because if youspam any other special, your action will run out and you don't have time to rest. If you use mostly melee hits and throw in with some body hits very sparingly, your action will stay pretty close to full.

Killing all the other animal types is actually easier. They might do more damage, but they seem easier to take down, any you have to kill fewer of them in the same time.

I also recommend getting the Blade of Nyenthioris beforehand, nothing else seems to have the DPS to do this. Possbily the Junti Mace. Myself, doing it solo, I tried the Uller mission about six times before getting effiecient at it. But my Nyenthioris was down to 560/800 condition, which I thought was a good trade off because I wanted the Acid Sword. If you want to save your good weapons and use stock weapons, I'd strongly recommend finding a group.
