Same formula is in place, just you take tons more damage and thus the condition goes real fast.....sucks badly on some pieces of armor and less on others.

Wonder if they will ever introduce a lvl higher than 54 for a weapon. Maby give every combat class a master weapon useable by a level 65 or sompthing. Maby have a base dps round 40 higher than the 54's or so.

Not good. That'd be just another point to force people to do multiple combat-classes. The level-based damage is already bad enough, just think of the crafters. Many crafters i know have reduced themselves to only one crafting profession by now and have taken up a combat profession. (With smuggler being one of the prefered ones due to slicing.)
Due to the level-based damage, they still have a hard time in the open, but at least they can feel like they mastered one combat profession and are not completely worthless in a fight. Make those high-level weapons and you create bigger gaps between the players again, leaving the crafters out in the cold again.
