M Comm / M Carb / Pistol 0404 - That'd be my choice. Plenty of damage and lots of gen ranged acc. Plus using an area weapon and area attack should be killer.
Or...... M Comm / MBH / Pistol 0004 - Still get two roots, and probably more speed, but have to sacrifice a line of pistols.
Imp spray shot and Imp full area auto do identical damage. If you want to do AoE damageMBH M Carb is the best I have seen in ranged. (With an average carb you'll hit between 1k+-1.3k with each.) You also have a brief AoE snare to control target distance. I have kited many a camp of dumb melee creatures using the three named specials. If one gets too close I KD or imp crip shot it. I love having BH Carbs for the AoEs, the great snare, and the hardest hitting ranged KD in the game, imp charge shot, it does near thrice that of underhand. And imp leg shot hits like adv crit without a crit chance, not to mention it has a nice recycle time too.
So MBH MCarbs and a low sac carbine. Tack on whatever else you like.

Kiting two melee mobs is cake, four is average and what you will most like get and do well with, 6-8 is doable and not an every time thing. Keepsomething likeVasarian brandy up at all times. I would love to locate some more BH Carbineers on my server we could do absolutely crazy things.
Of course if you have elite gear inflate the numbers I suggest.

I dont see how Commando and Carbineer work well together. 2 AoEs don't get applied when using a flamer and full auto area (I belive the flamer's AoE is used instead of the FAA). I dont see what Commando brings special to the table. Carbineer already has an area attack, which I assure you is ALOT better with a good elite than using legshot with a flamer from closer range and hitting a much smaller area. The strength of Commando is taking non-area status attacks and making them area, such as stopping shot, concussion shot, panicshot, ect.
