6-8 ? i kited 2 full nests of lvl80 dewbacks (more than20 pops) alone (btw im pistoleer/carbineer)

M Comm / M Carb / Pistol 0404 - That'd be my choice. Plenty of damage and lots of gen ranged acc. Plus using an area weapon and area attack should be killer.


Or...... M Comm / MBH / Pistol 0004 - Still get two roots, and probably more speed, but have to sacrifice a line of pistols.

Imp spray shot and Imp full area auto do identical damage. If you want to do AoE damageMBH M Carb is the best I have seen in ranged. (With an average carb you'll hit between 1k+-1.3k with each.) You also have a brief AoE snare to control target distance. I have kited many a camp of dumb melee creatures using the three named specials. If one gets too close I KD or imp crip shot it. I love having BH Carbs for the AoEs, the great snare, and the hardest hitting ranged KD in the game, imp charge shot, it does near thrice that of underhand. And imp leg shot hits like adv crit without a crit chance, not to mention it has a nice recycle time too.

So MBH MCarbs and a low sac carbine. Tack on whatever else you like.

Kiting two melee mobs is cake, four is average and what you will most like get and do well with, 6-8 is doable and not an every time thing. Keepsomething likeVasarian brandy up at all times. I would love to locate some more BH Carbineers on my server we could do absolutely crazy things.


Of course if you have elite gear inflate the numbers I suggest.

Yep the guy asked about AoE DPS. Not snares, roots and states. Again imp full auto area has a larger cone than imp spray shot and they both do identical damage. So if you can keep the creatures in the spray shot cone you are golden for alternating the two. You do not have to have MBH M Carbs. You will need Carbineer 4xxx and BH x4xx at a minimum.


I like MBH M Carbs becauseout of the AoE arena you have Adv crit and imp leg shot to alternate, plus imp charge shot for your KD hits for well over 1k. Naturally if they are down before you follow up with imp leg shot or adv crit it's even more damage. Also Imp duelist stance is wonderful for defense, and when you stack food|drink on it. I later added SL xxx4 for more acc, more speed, group D(works with pet out or droid), and Rally(Acc|Defense mods).



On a side note I can't wait for the SL revamp because my Tactics line will have; (Tactics I) - Enhances group defenses. Blaze of Glory (Tactics III) - Gives or enhances the chance to score a critical hit. Double Time (Tactics IV) - Reduces cool-down times for group members.


I swear by MBH M Carbs due to its strength in group AoEor solo situations. In the end, of course play what you like.

I dont see how Commando and Carbineer work well together. 2 AoEs don't get applied when using a flamer and full auto area (I belive the flamer's AoE is used instead of the FAA). I dont see what Commando brings special to the table. Carbineer already has an area attack, which I assure you is ALOT better with a good elite than using legshot with a flamer from closer range and hitting a much smaller area. The strength of Commando is taking non-area status attacks and making them area, such as stopping shot, concussion shot, panicshot, ect.

Commando AoE is broken...any special attacks used with a heavy weapon equipped with damage the primary target with the correct amount of damage, but all surrounding targets only get hit for 1 damage point, which is completely useless. You'll find yourself dead in a heartbeat after the entire mob of NPC's is aggroed, and you can only deal out 1 pt of dmg.

if you only go for DPS then take mbh/mrifle/carbs4xxx. you'll get high accuracy and high defense. alternate FFA and spray shot with an advanced laser rifle and you would outdamage everyone at the aakuan cave...only these don't drop anything now
