Thread: how unfair bh is compared to other professions
Also, you must realize, these defense people are using far more skill points on pure combat than you are. You must realize that scout is not a combat proffession and neither is your investigation line.
So, you use 207 points to master bounty hunter, well, 91 of those points are investigation/scout, so, you only use 116 points on combat. Now your average pistoleer/fencer, swordsman/carbineer, or rifleman/pikeman use 184 points on pure combat. Now, tell me you should be better than them.
it is a profession which should chase people, capture people.
it is not a COMBAT AND UBERIZE ALL PROFESSIONS profession.
as in this state, bh is already too powerful.
it is just like a crack commandoish profession.
should it be so in reality, all imperial troopers would be trained as bh. they were not.
so i guess bh shouldnt be made stronger in combat, in fact a little nerfed in terms of combat.
so, to make it more bhish, traps or other interesting gadgets should be introduced to the bh skill tree that can be used on players. these traps, like boba fett's will make bh class get close to what it is in the movies. currently it isnt.

they may spend 187 on combat but a master fencer/tk and pistoleer have both melee and ranged plus the get all the defences. pistoleer fencer gets incredable dodge ability that makes it impossible to hit them wile their shooting the crap out of u. yes 187 for 2 elite classes but the get more bang for their buck and the question is where doese that scout and investigation come into play with combat. the scout and investigation are worthless in pvp and just take up skill points when we could be spending it on unarmed or fencer so we could have some close combat and defensive abilities as well. i took on the task of becoming a bounty hunter because i thought that i might be able to take on a pack of pickets solo but i have difficulty putting down 1 without some type of augmentation or buff
Heh, seems you dont realize how the game really works. Scout will help you somewhat in pvp, but only with terrain negotiation. If you can get someone who is melee with no terrain negotiation to go up an incline, there is no chance they can catch up to you and you can kite them. Also, please learn how to use warning shot effectively in pve...lol, it will make soloing creatures much easier.
Heh, I dont believe that they get more bang for their buck either, hmm, I wonder what someone would come out if you analyze each templates skill mods(damage, dodge, speed, and accuracy, then average them together) and their average dps with their best weapons(averaged together) then compared with their skill points, if it would come out rather balanced. Yes, I know wed probably have to weight the dodge, but, I think I might to test this

This is the wrong for this post but he is also very correct. If I wanted my BH guy to be awesome PVP id drop from 4442 back to 0400 and pick up some good carbineer stuff to at least 1442 or so and get the defences and the 2 best shots as well as finishting up my spd cap. MBHs absolutly are pathetic against other toped out builds. To the guy saying he never lost as a MBH he probaby droped before everyones defences got doubled and MBH was left with nothing. In the currant system if i get lucky i can hold my own against all but the best defence dabler builds and can still own those uber crafting masters
but thin i remember that a Master dancer has more defences that i do.
