Thread: Discussions for the New Correspondent Position
Jedar wrote:OMG! This is crazy and forget the title of this threat, the only thing that should be discussed right now is why everyone is quitting including correspondents.
Burnout plain and simple. Most of us have been playing this game for a year now, I am sure all mmorpg's lose a substantial amount of there player base once the shiny gloss wears off. Compound that with the stress that resulted from the oddball decisions the devs had made as far as there priorities are concerned (holoemotes anyone?) and people are bound to be quitting.

Hehe he is probably still sore from me mowing him down with my pistoleer a few weeks back
I had to give him a taste of my new pistol, "Slayer"
Gotta give credit where credit is due. But you have to admit, you guys gain a great benefit from CM's poisons, as we don't have one single CM in the guild (not since I retired from it back in November). And I do believe I took my fair share of people out before I went down hehe.
You gotta come by again man. We can have a one one one carbineer vs carbineer

Don't.My SWG accounts both expire on October 4th. I can still come back or even resubscribe before that time, but I honestly do not see myself doing so. I have sat around for too long, hoping and waiting for things to get better. I refuse to waste my money anymore. Nova stepping down was the icing on the cake for me. It's not even a carbineer issue. It's a total game experience issue. It is just not fun anymore. I was extremely lucky to have a friend get into the World of Warcraft stress test, and he let me make a character on his account. I can't remember the last time I had as much fun in SWG as I did playing WoW. It's only in beta stage, and it is still not even half as buggy as SWG is. I am anticipating getting into the open beta that seems to be coming out soon, and if I do, that will be my game of choice. Until then, my friends (guildmates with whom I have been gaming with for well over 5 or 6 years now) and I have been getting back into playing Ravenshield and Joint Operations again (maybe the light went off in some of your heads right now, yes, my background in tactical games such as these is the reason I got into carbines in the first place lol).I bid you all farewell. If I were able to read and post on these forums without an active account, I would do so, but as I understand it, only registered SWG players can post here. I'll still be around for a couple more weeks, so don't expect this to be the last you hear of me.
I forgot you were leaving

I vote for me
I never really like it how someone who spends more time on the forums rather then "playing" carbiner in the game gets Coresspondent. But it's how things just work right?
Well this is my comment for the "pick the alpha monkey"
A small FYI..... I am on the Forums at work and in-game at night.... and on all 3 of my accounts right now..... I used to be in-game 60+ hours per week, but that was burnout running a guild and player city![]()
But who is counting ![]()
I sure hope you don't think of me as a non-playing Carbineer.....two of my accounts are Carbineer LOL

BTW, forgot to mention my support for TA. The guy is just incredibly devoted to carbineer. There are a few others that post on here regularly, but I think TA pioneered the backup correspondant position with his facts and data.
Nova has to get most of the credit for starting the Assistant Correspondent position.....he allowed me to participate on a very active role and assist him in many ways. All I have learned about the Corr position is from Nova, nuf said ![]()

I forgot you were leavingYou will be missed man. I figured a lot of COG was going to leave. Mandarr sounded like he really enjoyed WoW. If you guys go horde on WoW look me up. I am on there as Griggs (undead priest).
Going for the bad guys this time around? I figured I would join the alliance and be a good guy for a change since I've been an imp on SWG a week or so after launch...
Hopefully alot of us will be on the same server, sure there are alot of arseholes out there that will migrate as well but it's better to already know them rather than meet new ones...
