Specials tearing through HAM pools, sounds all too familiar

No real way of getting around it other than buffs, unless the practice of self incaping has become a new passtime in SWG. Can have even more fun being a commando, incaping yourself with your own weapons (grenades) is great fun. A little off point, but another major gimp that needs fixing.

Low level in any prof is hard....but your armor and buffs should keep you alive long enough to kill any of that stuff you mentioned.

For PvE I recommend getting a tank especially at lower levels because your speed and accuracy are low.

BTW, I hope you read the FAQ

LoL you got one starred for that....

well... as I tried all combat profs/most templates, I think that carbines are not really built for PvE, but they're more a PvP profession.
alot of state attacks, area/crowd control specials etc... so basic carbines for crowd control, carbines/BH for bu7t kicking. my carbineer toon is not really efficient in PvE, but the master box should change it a little bit (I got no master box in my template xcept for marksman).

I am utterly amazed that my comments are always considered RUDE when suggesting people read the FAQ......and I even use a SMILEYWINK. It is a VERY FRIENDLY suggestion.....you guys should go back a few months and read my replies from then....whoa, major Flames

Have any of you actually read the FAQ? Thereare pages and pages and pages of extremely valuable information that would take extensive work to copy it EVERY SINGLE post in the rest of this Forum. Honestly, a brief answer almost alwayscomes before or aftermy "Read the FAQ" statement because I want to give the quick answer but then direct them to find answers to questions that they haven't even thought to ask yet.

I appologize for coming off as RUDE but that is NOT my intention. At the same time, don't expect me to stop directingpeople to one of the best FAQ's in all of SWG.....

I mastered Carbineer without a single piece of armor or a single buff. Only food worthwhile at the time was tat sunburn and ryshcate (which was used sparingly, as I was poor ) It's very possible to master any profession without armor/buffs, it just takes a whole lot longer.

All the main points have been covered already by those above me; get a pet/friend to tank, pick up novice medic and some decent stim b's. If you have no tank,go prone at just over ideal range and fire off a few specials, then use wild shot and peace. Rinse repeat.

The only other thing worth mentioning is that if your not buffed, don't bother wearing armor. Especially as a carbineer, all you'll be doing is wasting ham.

And yes,if you haven't already, you really should read the FAQ. There was a lot of effort put into it, and there is a whole lot of good info in there.

Guess what! The only difference is that I didn't do anything!!! Firehawk posted something that could be interrupted as rude to certain people, I didn't! My post was a joking type one directed toward TAFirehawk, not some brainless one star bandit!

While we've hijacked the poor guy's thread I want to add that some posts should be one or two starred, for noting being useful or constructive in the grand scheme of making the game better. There's a lot of gratituitous 5 starring going around and that's unconstructive too. Okay back to your regularly scheduled thread.
