www.swg-wiki.com has a compiled list of Ranged Weapons with combat level requirements and other stats. Pistols, Carbines, Rifles, Heavy Weapons. Also has Melee Weapons, for those relishing combat.

Well, let's start from the top:
- "wut" is actually spelled "what"
- "geting" is actually spelled "getting"
- "incaped" is actually spelled "incapped"
- "easaly" is actually spelled "easily"
- Punctuation is your friend. It adds coherence and conciseness to your message. Use it.
Now, on to your questions.
In the Star Wars Galaxies forums, there is a very neat feature called a "STICKY". These are threads at the very top of every forum that usually are the best place to start. For instance, you can find the answer to your Carbine weapons question in one of the very top stickies, along with typical stats for different weapons available to you and what you have to look forward to in weapons at higher levels.
As for armor, Carbineers are fully certified for the armor type "BATTLE". Since nearly all armor within a particular type-range can be made with identical stats to the others, it is really more of a choice of style rather than protection. I would suggest you go to the Armorsmith forums and read the stickies there in order to learn about the many different armors available to you. Be sure to check the stickies at the top of the armorsmith forum first, before asking a question.
These boards serve a very large community, and quite often the newbie questions can be answered more efficiently through the sticky process than by having every single one of them post the exact same question in their own thread over and over again. That way the real issues and developments of each profession can be discussed by the greatest number of players without forcing them to sift through a thousand identical posts asking questions that are already clearly answered in other threads.
Good luck, and let us know if there is anything not in the stickies that should be. Welcome to Carbineer
