Say you miss pikeman? I'm going Master Carb, Master Pike, 4/4/4/0 Fencer. Well I know this isn't all that great of a template, but it sure is fun.

That means when looking at your skill tables you take...
The far two left columns of Medic, First Aid and Diagnostics line up to the second box each.
Taking novice brawler.
And getting to Pistoleer, and only taking the Pistol Techniques line.
For example...having First aid I means you are 1/0/0/0 in Medic. If you have First Aid I and II, and Diagnostics I and Pharmacology I it would look like 2/1/1/0 (the numbers represent your level in the respective skills)

whoever was talking about the Fencer with BH carbines and Carbineer should know that melee mitigation or ranged mitigation work depending on what weapon is in your hand. If you think you can do melee mitigation with a carbine in your hand (which i did) then apparently we are wrong. Also dont be so concerned with your melee defense and ranged defense as you are with you defense vs States because it is more effective and important

Macro's are not FOR BH's
lol
Macro's are sloppy bad form for anyone using a carbine in battle or any weapon for that matter.
Even Bh's with over 300 accuracy miss KD or dizzy sometimes.
trust me
Swordsman are god... I have no idea how to deal with them, suggestions would be spiffy.
I must fight the absolute worst rifleman in existatnce. I've found usually I can easily almost thoughtlessly kill
any rifleman holding a rifle by running to 0 meters and spamming crippleshot with my eyes closed.
Even the CM/Rifleman would die before I would...

Showmercy, you posted "Get distance | use knockdown macro | pray it works | get distance | spam crippling shot"
But my question is why. A knockdown macro will get you killed, first off. You have to play Carbineer real time, not with shots queued. What if your dizzy doesnt work? Then the knockdown was useless. Use the dizzy until it sticks, then do a knockdown, all in real time, then once you /know/ it worked, you get distance, and you use the appropriate shot for the situation. Crippling shot isnt going to help as much if they've got a tiny mind pool, in which case you'll want to do scatter shots. Also you need to choose the right carbine for the job, the right armor, and fluidly work out what shots and states to use, such as occasionally popping an FAS2 on the guy to keep him blind or dizzy or stunned, so he's less effective against you. Carbineer is a real time profession, we dont have an 'I Win' button. We have like 8 specials that are all useful in different situations, 6 carbines that are all useful in different situations, and most importantly, we have a brain. Use that too.

Hmm, I've had no problems with my dizzies or stuns sticking. The reason that I set up the macro is because when you shoot very quickly it is important to make the first few shots count. If you just spam confusion shot over and over until it works, then you have to clear combat que, and then get the knockdown. With mine, it almost always works the first time - but if it doesn't - it does the second. Like I said, sometimes you have to alter your strategy to fight them.Using my macro takes 5 seconds, 5 crucial seconds at the beginning of the fight. If you waste those 5 seconds trying to spam a dizzy you might as well be dead already. I think you guys should try it before you bash it.
Swordsmen are not tough. One word - kite. It's funny running up a hill with a swordsmen behind you
Usually fire knockdown does the trick on these guys, if it doesn't, use underhand and confusion. Oh, and, make sure you boost focus and willpower up - as well as mind. Then get mind buffs. I've got 1100 mind 1100 focus and 800 willpower. With that, when I get a focus/willpower buff I can do specials without any mind cost and without brandy - which is good for PvE. I can also take the brandy and boost willpower. I was thinking of actually maxing my willpower as well, just because focus and willpower are the only secondary stats that really matter.

btw...
spaming is also lazy and will get you killed.
you don't spam... you don't macro...
you pick each and every shot you make in the 1/2 second time you have before the last shot goes out of your que... you time it so your que is almost always empty save your last and next shot.
you do this while watching where you run and keep moving erratically while kiting and watching the state of your opponent and anticipating what his next move is.
you also eat foods at appropriate times while monitoring your ham.
you que nothing.
you macro nothing.
If your queing or macroing... against someone that has a clue.
your dead.
