Thread: Carbinier VS Tera Kasi

but this means he's not a master brawler, which means he can only hit you from about 15m (only with unarmed hit 3, not a KD)
I am master carb and master tka.. I have nothing in brawler except unarmed tree.. But with that I get Unarmed lunge1 which can hit from 20m away and has a chance to change posture.. If I can stay within 20m I hit that attack until they go to a knee and then I do kd, dizzy and I whale on them. (master brawlers get ua lunge2 which is a 20m kd)
I thought VKs on a TKM were deadly while wearing Comp armor.. (deadly to the TKM for the HAM cost)
But Carbineer, IMO is worse... I am going to give it up.. I didn't see any difference between Master Carb and Carb 4444.. and I have seen some kind of jumpwith the other professions I have tried..
You can wear the comp armor but prec head hittargets an unhealable pool and "holes" can be found easier in head armor. It will just take longer..
That seriously got me laughing...Funny.

kiting a master doc/tkm would be a good way to find out how long it takes to run from Theed to Moeina.

NO, cause a carbineer cant target a docs mind. And since they can remove any stat you place on them, even if you kite them you are boned.
Lol, wrong answer, sort of. Scatter 2 hits mind very often. Why? it hits the player 3 times, and tries to hit all three pools(though it usually only hits two pools)
no offense...but the rolls on scatter2 are just as random as using cripplingshot 3x...w/ a 7.5x modifier (total), statistically, you're going to do just as much damage to the mind w/ cripplingshot as w/ scatter2...it'll just be less hits to the mind for more dmg when itdoes hit. scatter2 doesn't do a 33/33/33 chance of hitting the pools, it's the same as w/ cripplingshot and all our other random-pool shots.

Well, I tend to hit the mind half the time with scatter 2, and maybe a 6th of the time with cripple/full auto.

yes...but that's b/c there are 3 seperate rolls for scatter2...you will hit mind MORE but for LESS damage on each hit. back before everyone was heavily armored i used scatter2 alot since their unarmored mind w/out anything but glazed glucose and anterian fishak tended to go quickly even w/ small damage rolls to the mind...noticed pretty quickly w/ the current PVP setup on most servers where 90% of targets are buffed/armored/drunk/stuffed on food...that scatter2 isn't much more effective there.
i just use cripplingshot and try to work their H/A...generally get it down quick enough that healing isn't a concern, especially if they're on the ground before they get a chance to. however...of 'course if they do the full buff thing and very good armor...makes it VERY hard to get them killed. i fought a BH spamming geono eyeshots once that made a really big chore of it...thankfully i had a stun helm and imp PSG but took forever to get him dead w/ my best carbine...and only the zabrak /eq saved me from a mind incap 'bout 1/2way thru.

Slap on a 80% set of kinetic comp, activate your 30+% kinetic PSG and laugh as he tries to damage you.
FoW is good.. unless it fails ![]()
The trick in knowing your specials, and knowinghow most TKA's fight. If you're prepared, a ranged profession can usually take down a melee profession with thoughtful skill use. It helps that most TKA's don't play their own class well, and just spam Dizzy/KD till it sticks. Every once and a while you get TKA's who diversify and know how to use most of their specials... those ones are tricky
