I am currently leveling a template I call "range stacker."

M.Carb/M.Rifleman/Pistoleer 0044. Carbs for states and KD/postures. Rifles for big damage and mind damage. Pistoleer just for range/melee defenses and state defenses.

I can't wait to get it all built.

Totally agreeTherascalking3, but the speeds are kinda nice on the BH carbine chain. Plus it's just another knockdown to add to the list....which after enough crippling shot, switch to LLC....which brings me to the compliment...nice observation from that previous post....

Your bus is here, get on it. And don't get off until your in the next town.

Correct me if I’m wrong and I very well may be, but your only going to get the defense bonus when armed with a weapon of that specific chain. EX: Melee defense bonuses from fencer won’t get utilized while armed with a carbine. The way I came to this thought was I watched my combat menu one day while having my first melee defense + from fencer and I received more damage while using my carbine and LLC then when I armed up with a fencer weapon.

No this is incorrect. Melee defense and ranged defense as well as all defense vs. stats are stackable. That means any box you earned a bonus with will always have that bonus active unless you drop the box. Equipped weapon has nothing to do with the stackable stats. The only thing that deals with the weapon you hold is mitigation. If you are a carbineer your mitigation from that profession will be active when you are holding a carbine. Melee mitigation for when you are holding your fencer weapon.

call me crazy, but i am still holding out hope that Combat Medic will be given some PvE love in the combat rebalance. if this is the case i think the "template" i am working back to Master Combat Medic / Master Carbineer will do amazingly well in PvE.

the AoE posture and state attacks from Carbineer combined with AoE poisons and diseases (if they get fixed for PvE...MAN i hope they get fixed) will allow a single carbineer to truly control a crowd of mobs. i'm not talking about being 'uber', i am talking about using tactics and strategy to use both professions wisely.

i have always liked the logic behind a mid-range, mid-power, mid-speed weapon being the complement to thrown weapons. Bugs aside, logically it does not make sense to throw something as far as one will shoot a rifle. AND again bugs aside, it does not make sense to be standing withing handgun range and throw a chemical weapon. to ME carbines would be the weapon of choice for Combat Medics.

I picked up Rifleman just for the mind damage. In PvP I fully intend to fullautosingle2, then chargeshot1 (or suppressionfire2) using my uber accuracy E11. Once I get a dizzy/KD, switch to DXR6b and lay on the headshot3s.

The thing I like about this, and why I am heading to it, is it gives me even more choices in PvP. The more I am allowed to think in PvP, the more I find I win. Couple my offensive choices with pretty nice defenses, and I suspect I will do really well in PvP.

I am going to add FS defenses, ranged accuracyand rangedspeed as well as soon as Publish 10 goes live.

I finished up 0043 Pistoleer last night.I'llget thatlast pistol box last so it is rifles tonight.

with carbineer/fencer i find i actually use carbineer more so than fencer. I always start with my carbine out, if i see an overt ill open with intimidate and FAS2, once i have all the states on thats when i decide whether fencers a better option...If they're pure meleeI tend to alwaysstick with carbineer, if however they're ranged based, I usethe carbine to land states, kd's and pd's then i run in withthe batons

In large scale raidsthough i dont even think about un-equipping my carbine

Just like picking up a Melee Master.....Carbineer rarely gets used....which is why I am not Master Fencer Personally I design my templates to ONLY use Carbineer as the only offensive weapon, which may not be as strong as this or many other templates.......call me stupid, but I like only using a Carbine
