Swordsman because they are the PVE gods.
After being a Carbineer from day one, I was in the process of dropping Carbineer for rifleman - YE GODS BASHO! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!?
Gonna reconsider my whole template again.
But, anyway - Swordsman is a LOT of fun.

Master Carbiner + Master Fencer (for the stun damage) + 4/0/0/4 TKA + nov medic

I have been a swordsman/carbineer since launch, and it is a great combo tohave funwith. But if you are looking for the best melee skill to couple with carbineer, I would suggest adding fencer or tka. Swordman deal great raw damage in PvE, but their greatest drawback is low passive defenses. Couple this with the lack of defenses and high HAM costs of carbineer, and this template becomesdifficult to play without support (i.e. buffs, armor, tactical nuke
