Thread: Get rid of charge shot animation
I love using it point blank. I call it the Mexican Hat Dance. You put your arm in the air and run around the target a few times. Other players are always saying **edit**...
Just for fun, somethings I spam it and you just sit there running around the target.
Well, Quandry, Cripple shot does Crippling damage to a target, and as forthat build-up blastanimation, nah.
Charge Shot symbolizes what our class is meant to do. We are medium range fighters(So those who say Using charge buts them within Flame specials dont know how to fight as a carbineer) and we are supression fire. We pound the enemy down while more accurate and powerful fighters close the gap and Blow them away. effectively, we're the sniper Rifleman isnt, because its used for close range PvP, Carbines dont have the luxury of being Uber. When in a PvP group, you always stay close behind and support the melee. in Solo-ing, Use the anchorhead tactic. Sit outside AH, on the west hill, near Tosche station but close enough for people on the bridge to see you on 128 radar. Overts will see you and rush at you, and as they try to close the gap, you Charge them and cripple them, or whatever you do.
Everyone is in agreement that charge shot is vital in PvP, and i think that it adds some flavor.

I said that. I wouldn't say I'm not a good carbineer. My most often used carbine is a DXR6. Ideal range at 22m. Having someone KD is the best time to /flamesingle2 them. So, I'll kite the target near the ideal range for my carbine. Once I verify that stun, and dizzy has been landed, I'll do chargeshot1 to go for the KD. If it lands, I immediately switch to my high damage Flamer and flame them. Goes good damage that way.
If I miss the KD, I'll run back to the ideal range and continue kiting.
I'm just playing smart using my profession build. Have to remember. What works for you doen't necessary work for me.

Wow! I thought I was the only one that saw it that way lol. I use a macro that shouts "Ole!" whenever I use it. All my buddies love it and think it's hillarious.
You can use /setcharge Ole! and it will do that every time you use it.
At least I think it still works.
I love doing the little point blank dance and usually do it just to entertain my friends. (The KD is a nice bonus but not all that exciting since they get up so wickedly fast)
I think I'll add the "Ole!" macro as well. That hit the spot...![]()
