Sorry what I meant was that I can use the belt AND still get to wear my backpack.

I think padded has a belt too.

Yes, padded armorhas a belt. It has little pockety flanges on the sides. I think some NPCs on Lok wear them. It actually has some stats, though: encumbrance, minimal protection, and a condition value. It also only comes in white -- the color can't be customized.

Mabari has a wide variety of available colors, I think it uses the same palette as the ubese shirts, and since it has no condition or encumbrance I actually recommend it over the padded. Just my opinion as a tired old armorsmith.

Hard to get +25 Carbine Speed in a belt and shirt

oooo...thanks for that heads up. Actually, since you seem to know and it would be helpful to me and others, what is the list of no condition armor items and the max sockets you can put into them?

I am going to order a belt tonight

From what I remember, there are only 3 "no condition" armor pieces. Two of them were already mentioned:

Mabari Armorweave Belt (belt slot, conflicts with PSG equipment)

Ubese Armor Shirt (shirt slot, can be worn underneath chest armor)

Ubese Bandolier (back slot, conflicts with backpacks)

The max number of sockets in any wearable item is 4, and I believe only Master Armorsmiths/Tailors can get that many.Generating socketsis random, so the crafter will likely have to try several times to get it right. When I was doing the belts, it took me about 10 tries before I got one with 4 sockets.

NOTE:Although these items have 0 encumbrance, you still can't put them on if your armor brings your secondary stats down to (or below) 1. I took off my shirt to show someone one time and I couldn't put it back on until I got buffed.

/jealous! I love having an extra +10. In pvp, I dance like I have ants in my pants to try & lower my opponents' accuracy. Someone actually accused me of defense stacking last week! Unfortunately, it also lowers my own.

Thank you for the info. I have some tough decisions to make. A belt would seem ideal but then what if they fix the PSGs? Then again, if they fix PSGs, I think players will become invincible.

Word. I've got an ubese shirt and a decorated belt that I wear. Together, they give me like +16 accuracy, +10 accuracy while moving, and +11 speed (or thereabouts). I'm in the process of filling the final socket on each with counterattack mods. (But don't tell the Imps!)

Kether,

Is that belt armor or clothing? I napped a +7 speed armor attachment this weekend and I am going OCD trying to figure out what to put it in.

Thanks

Oh come on, slap that thing in ANY piece of armor and enjoy the "steroids"

In the last two weeks I got my entire suit of armor, 20 mil worth of attachments, and clothes, 2 mil worth of mods, repaired. Talk about SCARY!!!!!! I lost one piece, the gloves but I had bought extra attachments and still have +25 Carbine Speed

Looks like I won the Counterattack attachment auctions. +9 and +7, so I'll be up to 121 Counterattack sometime in the next day or two!
