Thread: What tree should I get first?

Why would you get 0010 BH and then start up BH Carbs? Seems silly to me to get BH Pistol 1.....but I haven't done BH on LIVE, just on TC2 and those beautiful Frogs
But your point of going up BH Carbs is very valid, for those that want to master Marksman.....this should be a side note in the FAQ.
Edited my reply to make that point more clear. Happy now?

Ah yes, I was totally missing the BOAT ![]()
Although 0010 Carbineer really isn't needed unless you are fighting unbuffed. Novice Carbineer gives FullAutoSingle2 and Marksman gives LegShot2 and those can be a Carbineer's most effective shots even at Master ![]()

Halendor.....
Saw the post and thought about the FAQ that discuss such matters. Way to utilize the tools already in place.
Sidenote for future reference: the FAQs are a BIG HELP and necessary before considering any profession!
Some professions don't have very good FAQ documents... or none at all, so people get used to just walking in, dropping their question, and then checking their post tracker.
The Carbineer forum is actually one of the better ones with FAQ documents discussing tactics, specials, templates, etc.. ![]()

IMO, it's always better to go up the speed trees, then the accuracy. I leveled on Yavin IV doing Crystal Snakes...they have a ranged attack so cones work fairly well against them
Fighting against ranged attackers only works well if you have armor that defends against their attacks (for creatures you just have to worry about spitting attacks, which all seem to be acid, but NPCs will run the gamut of damage types; this makes Ubese a very poor choice), and for the most part, good buffs are required to keep you alive (or a very close friend who is a Medic). This means having the money to invest in some halfway decent composite armor (non-layered is okay if you're not fighting uber godly mobs) and paying for good Doctor buffs every day. If you already have the money to spend on these things, or you can call in a few favors to get them, then there's really not a problem; however, if the best you can do is a good set of Ubese and you can't afford buffs every day, then stick to mobs that will melee you and stay away from ranged attackers. Take stock of what you have, and play to your strengths, not their strengths and your weaknesses. ![]()
