This thread is like fighting windmills, I think that we can agree that we all continue using our style of combat, with which we are content.

The purpose of my posts here is simple - please DO NOT dismiss high SAC weapons with high DPS, if you are unable to use the weapon in right way, grab CDEF and go spam SUPAshots on krayts.

No need to getall defensive. Lookhere's the thing, dueling I don't care much about. But I like hunting krayts, and if you found a way that is better and faster, I will switch to it.

All I want is some numbers to show how fast you kill them. So please dome a favor and kill a krayt, post what kind of krayt it is, how much Ranged shot hits for, and how long it takes for 30 shots.

Then I'll do the same thing with mycarbine (which is like300 dps) and post the results.

If your way kills them alot faster then I'll try it too. I have some +171 tissues saved back and can get them made up with a form fitted stock & all experimentation into damage and speed, it should make a carbine with killer dps.

So here it comes - after little testing Im here to present the results. Using my Elite Carbine with DPS 366 and SAC 120 i found and Killed 3 giant krayt dragons. All was done from 17:52:01 to 18:18:00(finding them ate some time).

First dragon died by 87 ranged shots 380 damage + around 20 specials of Snare and KD. First shot at -17:52:01- last17:56:00

Second dragon died by 81 ranged shots 380 damage + same ammoutn of specials. First shot at 18:01:00 - last 18:04:33

Third dragon died by 84 ranged shots 380 damage + same ammoutn of specials. First shot at 18:13:03 - last 18:18:00

All information I can give you. I usually use 2 pets and droid(not this time)and cut this time in half(not that is long lol - aprox 4 minutes to SOLO kill Giant Krayt Dragon).

Thanks for idea of this test, the first and third droped both good pearls, and the second droped tissue 5+135-.38. I love krayt hunt.

That's cool, but how about just noting how long it takes to do 30 shots? Then we can figure your dpsby taking the Ranged shot damage X30, then divide by the number of seconds it takes for 30 shots. This will eliminate the effect of misses, so they don't screw up the results with random stuff.

My deal is alternating Critical shot and Legshot, so for mydps I'll figure Legshot damage X 30, then divided by how many seconds it took for 30 shots. I'll just use the Legshot damage, since both Critical shot and Legshot are x1.9 damage and the higher damage from critical doesn't happen too often anyway.

I'll use my 306 dps 81 SAC carbine. It's not great but it is the best I have for now. I have been saving my good +160 and +170 tissues until I have a better idea what to make next.

And now Im confused a little... i tested my way LIVE in combat sir.. I posted damage, timestamps and know that i rarely miss, lets say no more than 10. You can always count time needed for ranged shot from the information i gave you above. If you want to do some real testing - NOW YOU GO OUT AND KILL SOME DRAGONS YOURSELF kind sir. I did exactly, as you asked me in post above... now do it pls.

Yup I will do that when I get off work here. By the way thanks for testing & posting the data! I will repeat your test scenario & post results. This is on level 86 Giant Canyon Krayt dragons right?

Also the reason I usually prefer to count the # of seconds for 30 attacks & dividing it out, is because I mostly hunt the krayt Ancients, and the misses are veryrandom and canreally mess up your kill times.I mean sometimes I count as high as 34% missed shots on those, and that's with +40 ranged accuracy food.

I agree, I attack ancients when I find them, but do not enjoy it, they tend to warp, have high defense and drop same things as other dragons.

To the guy with the high SAC Carbine -- I have a similar one, it's an Elite Carbine. I chain several attacks together, and you dish out unbelievable amounts of damage. If the person doesn't have heals, you can incap in no time at all.

so much arguing. the clear answer is to get a carbine that has good EVERYTHING. then theres no need to determine what is better.

my E11 is:

2.4speed

496-1110 damage

+17 accuracy

and 92 SAC

all unpup'd

with a damage pup it does to 2.8 speed 5xx-1280 damage. with the right food i can go 10 minutes w/o running out of action.

hits jedi for over 1000, actually hits almost anything for over 1000. lesson of this story is, get a gun with good everything and we won't have to fight so much. or find a playstyle that works well for you and stick with it

as for the krayts, i would personally go with the harder hitting weapon just because they rejenerate and if your doing less damage theres a higher chance your going to die quicker since theres jsut so much more time to die. both ways work though, data seems to favor the higher damage though

Iv experimented a bit, and raised my moded DPS to 960... more test are coming soon. As for krayting.. I use the circle of death technique, and with Ranged shot as autoatack, you can numlock your movement and only turn from time to time when you are at 50 m from the dragon to complete the circle.
