i had a CDEF carbine with 324-410 damage 1.9 speed. IT was looted from a nightsister and it was an exceptional one. My firend looted it and gave it to me. it had 170/720 condition i got it repaired to 600/600. Then i used it ALOT and it went to 100/600 i got it repaired againand it fell apart :*( i was really pissed off. I still have the carbine but the condition is now 1/1. It also only had 4 mind COST!! i used to kill master commandos unbuffed

Got a few nice ones, not using powerups, never.

Dxr6 carbine 3.0 307 max damage
DH17 short 1.7 338 max damage
DH17 short 1.2 253 max damage

and a regular laser

all are scoped (regular scopes, not adv. cause of HAM costs), Stocked with imp stocks (form fitted, they make the weapon abit faster)

My two best carbines are these:

DXR6. 261 to 286 damage at 3.6 reload.

stock and scope, damage-sliced and a min damage/speed power up. It is my range mitigation/PSG buster.

Made by Di-Kiem of Wanderhome.

Laser Carbine. 121 to 562 at 3.5 reload

stock and scope, damage-slicedand a min/max damage power up. This is my "gee dont you wish you had range mitigation" carbine.

Made by Bermag of Wanderhome

I don't bother with Krayt tissues. 9/10 you can do better just buying high quality weapons and getting the best slices.

This is true. A lot of starting Carbineers fall into the trap of investing into Krayt Tissues (usually around base) which aren't all that helpful and worth your money.. since a slice can make or break a weapon.

Generally, I don't recommend Krayt Tissues to anyone unless they are atleast -0.5 speed, coupled with a Form-fitting stock, and have "some" max damage on them.. +30 isn't much and can be achived through better resources, a 12-point weaponsmith, and 1 or 2% in slices, heh.

Krayt tissues that are under around 60-70 max damage are also not really worth a BH/Carbineer's time and money. Getting a 35% damage slice and throwing a powerup is much more financially viable. Tissues essentially only help in speed.

the point is that nooobs can be "scammed" buying krayt tissues, offering high money to get base ones.

personally, I got a supplier as my alt's master WS and other alt's master smuggler, so I can afford to buy loads of tissues, make loads of weapons, slice em all, keep the best slices and get my money back with profits selling the other ones.

so not really an issue here

can we please get the stats without powerups ? I think it's more ... fair !

All good points. More in case new players are listening:

Range mitigation destroys the increased damage provided by Krayt tissues. The only times the increase indamage really is useful is PvE (of course, but do you really need a 1 million credit weapon for PvE?), hitting all melee professions that have no mitigation and when the guns are made by the really high damage tissues such as the +80 or higher ones.

As mentioned, the real advantage of tissues is the speed reduction. However, if you have speed tapes or are a BH/carbineer that advantage is not needed at all.

The best bet is using those form fitting stocks since they increase damage and reduce speed. The normal stocks increase damage and increase speed so the effect on speed is quite dramatic. Plus the cost of those stocks is usually pretty low even though the stocks. And again, carbineers with extra speed don't really need these and the form fitting stocks are less damage than the ones made by weaponsmiths.

That is why I just stick with normal weapons made by 12 point weaponsmiths that have extremely good slices.
