I don't see how it's exploiting. I have +10 speed and +10 accuracy that I dropped in the form of armor attachments on a Ubese Bandolier before the fix. It was a viable piece of armor with no condition that had existed for over a year.
Should I stop using this item as soon as a patch hit.. because it's considered pre-nerf? ![]()
Actually, I'd consider doing it if the developers gave me my attachments back. I'd be more than glad to destroy the bandolier and swap it for a decayable one if I could get the exact same stats on it. Today was the first time I died in-game since August.. decay means nothing to me.
I have no objection with being forced to use decayable items as long as I can get "refunded" for the current pre-nerf ones I have now.

BINGO....
I just didn't want to use the "sploiter" term as some take what I say as "official" and it is not always ![]()
Once at item reaches Zero Condition it is supposed to lose all their functionalilty, period. Continuing to use an item at Zero Condtion will always be viewed as wrong and subject to punishment fitting the crime.

Things must be converted "fairly" before you should consider the voluntary removal of such questionable items from your arsenal.
The Combat Upgrade will address this issue....eventually.....

Let's hope so. I know that I "created" my bandolier only a few days before the nerf. Having it confiscated or outright unequippable from one day to the next without any warning would seem a bit unfair to me - I don't recall the Developers ever stating that non-decayable items like Ubese Shirts and Bandoliers would be "nerfed" until the hotfix was pushed to live. There had been rumors of course, but official statements only came right before.
When it comes to attachments, the average user may not care, but I know of several people who have several +25s in theirs that could jeopardize the whole issue.
At the end of the day, you have to look it from a playability perspective. Already, its difficult to obtain non-decayable items, they are rare. Only the "top PvP crowd" generally goes to such lengths to ensure that their items are "safe".. most players don't really care. Eventually, there won't be any left though, and it will balance out.
I don't see how having a non-decaying Bandolier or Ubese Shirt "breaks" the game in any way. Sure, clothing repair kits are obsolete and tailors could use a lucky break in selling clothes, but when you throw in the arguement of attachments that are worth several million (not to mention the time spent by players in acquiring these credits), simply "ganking" them away is.. to me anyway.. pushing the boundary between keeping an economic balance and keeping things fair and fun.
But like I said, I have no objections.. I've got enough attachments to make up a suit and a half of +25 all around that Im saving for the eventual patches and Combat Upgrade.

The "fair" way asI see it......give the no condition items 1000/1000 and make them like clothes or armor, so they decay but don't start out at 0/1000 on "nerf day".

i really dont think refunding people is in anyones interest. like you said... you never die. so right now with those tapes you are in effect uber beyond belief, so i say take the tapes away from us if we did something that didnt seem fair when we did it the first time and not refund us. if we want them again make us go out and get them (or wander on to the trade forums and buy them) so that until they are replaced there is a challenge for us and a chance for those that were never able to get us... my 2cents
