Thread: Thinking of going BH carbine with master carbine...opinions?
Im BH 3434/carbineer 4004 and soon to go to master carbineer BH 3400. The new patch is introducing a lower HAM special cost for carbineers. It will be great. I was going master BH, but there is really no point in it, besides the title. Which I always where the mercenary title anyways.

The most important thing is this gives me the Sprayshot + Chargeshot1 combo. Sprayshot deals better damage than Burstshot1 and applies dizzy, blind and stun effects! Combo'd with Chargeshot1 (which hits 99% of the time) people and creatures flop around like fish while I destroy them.
Just taking the Carbine Specialization line won't give you Sprayshot, but Confusion Shot and FireKD both inflict dizzy very consistantly. Don't count on FireKD to actually KD your target, even with my modifiers I only get a KD from FireKD @ 10% of the time. To put it another way: I'm surprised when FireKD knock someone down, I'm surprised when Chargeshot1 doesn't knock someone down.
The biggest problem with either template is that you have to always be stat buffed in order to do almost anything. Neutrons and Muons (+Fishak surprise) help, but nothing beats the buff.

I agree with the other guy, where did you find that out? I had heard that block/counter/dodge no longer stack between professions, but have heard nothing about Def. Against ***** or ranged/melee.

At the moment.. Chargeshot1 will ALWAYS work. not matter what
KD defense are USELESS against it, IT WILL KD. find a carbineer friend, test it. he/she will KD you every single time he hits with chargeshot1, the only way chargeshot will NOT kd is if it MISSES. and with 190 accuracy missing hardly ever happens. pistoleer/fencer/tka combo has a max of 140 ranged defense (its around 120ish if i recall correctly) fencer/rifle/tka has around 180. and bh/carbineer = 190 accuracy.. we will still hit nearly everytime.
chargeshot1 combined with confusion shot and followed by crippling shot is VERY VERY effective in pvp. as long as you're not caught by surprise and you get the first shot, chances are you cannot lose.
I have both a master pistoleer/master fencer with 4004 tka and the rest in smuggler, and a bh/carbineer.. I like the bh/carbineer MUCH better.

I was a MBH and now i'm a Master Carbineer....Carbine has always been my favorite weapon....the only shot I really miss from MBH is Scatter shot...man what an awesome shot that is....actually I think after Mastering BH..the only shots I really used were Scatter, FireKD, and Torso.....i'd love it if Master Carbineer had a Dizzy shot of some sort...but all and all MBH just isn't worth the skill points involved...its incredibly gimped compared to the possible combinations out there for the same skill points....but throwing the BH carbine line with Carbineer does rock...as I slowly went down in BH..is when I was going up in carbineer and having both was very nice...luckly I had 900,000 Carbine XP banked from MBH...the first things I went for in carbine were Cripple and Charge....and after Mastering Carbineer really the only specials I use are Cripple, Charge, Burst, and some other shot i'm forgetting at the moment...lol
