Now what i'm going to say may sound like i'm just stating the obvious, and it is indeed just that.


So.... you're looking for realism in a game with aliens running around in it? Not to mention various energy based weapons and whatnot. Next thing we know, you're going to want spacestations to require fuel. A gasstation high in space, charging 2.50 a freaking credic for a agallon of gas, when my ship needs 500000 gallons of gas.


If you want realism, then go join the army. Or go play an realistic game. Theres not reason to make a class pacticly unplayable.


Think about it. You're doing a base raid. You're fighting a jedi with a couple of friends. Maybe one other friend. Doesn't matter. You guys almost have him down. One more hit, and hes incapped. Your buddy is melee, and ran out of action. You go to fire to seal the deal, but your out of ammo. Your buddy gets incapped (his third) and the jedi takes the second to heal while you finish reloading. You're dead.


If I wanted to fix anything, it'd be fixing melee's lack of abilities to slightly overcome roots/snares. As it stands now, you have burst run. That lasts about 45 seconds, and most roots and snares last longer then that.


And as a last word, I agree with what someone earlier said. I wouldn't group with any ranged people if this happens. They'd shoot once, just to get thier shot in. I'd ask why aren't you shooting more. "I don't want to use all my ammo". Thats when I'd kick em.

I like this idea, I imagine it would add alot of depth and balance to ranged professions. Different types of ammo could provide new tactical benefits (ammo to match the situation) to balance the negative aspect of having to reload and purchase ammo. It would be another fun thing to collect and get manufactured perfectly.....Krayt ammunition or whatever have you.


I hope something like this would get implemented if the designers could release without too many bugs.
