I just do as Nova does, i put a /ui action clearCombatQueue; command in front of /chargeshot1; /chargeshot2; and /actionshot2. As well as my heal other and heal self macros. I find it works better than /peace;

But TAFirehawk's remap idea is sheer genius

My set up is very similar. I have /ui action clearCombatQueue mapped to my middle mouse button, and I have /ui action clearCombatQueue; /healdamage self mapped to the numpad enter key.

My Push to Talk is Ctrl. Easily reached by my pinky finger, and works well with just about every game we play.

Ummmm, I use the Ctrl- commands to open windows for everything in SWG.....

I've only recently started pvping as carbineer so I'm using lots of macros now to see what works and not. Since I'm using 4 different dot carbines + the enhanced e11, I need a macro to switch between them so my macros look something like this atm:

/ui action clearCombatQueue;

/ui action toolbarSlot12; (First dot)

/WhatEverAttackI'mDoing;

/pause 1;

/ui action toolbarSlot13; (2nd dot)

...

etc

I have macros like this for fas2, faa2 and then combined /chargeshot2 andsupression2 or actionshot2.

So if I'm in a 1 on 1, I start with fas2 untill dizzy hits (by the time it hits, at least 2 dots and blind or stun has also hit) and then switch to kd/posture change macro. Once they're on the ground, I switch to a scattershot2- or fas2-loop with a dxr-6. I'm not sure if the extra damage from scattershot2 is worth it compared to the chance to constantly reapply dizzy. Fas2 isn't too shabby damage itself.

Problems with all uses of macro is that can't match manual if you know what you're doing and are very concentrated. Ie, with this setup I'm often too slow to try a kd once dizzy hits or switch to dxr-6 and deal damage once they're on the ground.

I'm trying to compensate this by having a key for /ui action clearCombatQueue and /dump which helps a lot but in the end I think I will try to be completely manual except for a running clear-states/-poison/-disease/-fire macro.

Your friends when using macros are /ui action clearCombatQueue and /dump. Always have those ready to break out of a situation.

And use /macro <macroname> when looping instead of placing the macro on the toolbars and call it by /ui action toolbarSlotXX;

Ahh! So that explains why I'm allways being yelled at for being keyed down on TS!

No seriously... yeah I use the Ctrl+ commands in SWG that way too, but I try to use the left Ctrl as to not "key down" on TS too often. I use the right Ctrl every now and then, but as explained above, I try not to too often.

I have mine keyed to Capslock by habit from counterstrike and day of defeat. Bad habit as people get mad when I type in caps.

Bah... CS. We used to make fun of anyone that played CS, as it's not a very tactical game (it's just "run and gun" Rambo style). We play FPSs more along the lines of the Rainbow 6 series, SWAT3, Ghost Recon, etc. Though we do enjoy a good "run and gun" game every now and then, like BF 1942 or one of the Novalogic Delta Force series games.

Maybe the public servers were run and gun, but once you started forming clans and joining ladders, its all about teamwork. The built in voice system rocked.
