Carbineer Archive

About one in ten tries will get you a Nym's with a DPS of over 300,the Nym's Carbinenormally caps at 315 DPS. "Very rarely", the system will generate a weapon that is slightly over the normal max spec. These elite weapons can not be sliced as they are overspeced. The best one I was ever able toobtain is:

(all numbers are base)
Type: Kinetic
Speed: 2.25
Damage: 360-719
Elemental: Acid
Elemental Damage: 175
Accuracy Bonus: 0
Wound: 1.7%
Range: 0-50
DSP: 317.33
SAC: 81

Pretty sweet for only having a level 50 requirement and worth an ADK IMO.

We don't rate a CL54 / Master level Carbine.

There are no Kinetic Ranged Weapons at CL54 or requiring a Master certification.

I'm confused - are you saying that NO professoin has a CL54 ranged weapon? Because I know that Pistoleers have the FWG5 and then MBHs have the High Capacity Scatter Pistol that both are rated at CL 54. I'm not sure but I believe that Rifleman also has a couple like the quest reward Trandoshan Hunting Rifle.

Correct.

The LD-1 and Fallan Hyper Rifle are only CL50. Tusken is lower, can't remember which.

For Carbines, the Nym's Slugthrower is CL50 also, and I believe the Czerka is the same CL requirement.

It's just that no ranged profession has a CL54 / Master Prereq. weapon. Which is fine by me.

If your Energy based weapon isn't cutting it against your opponent, I hope you have a Kinetic weapon standing by.

You are losing your mind. The T21 was most definitely energy damage pre-CU.

It was blast dmg not kinetic, and the tusken was kinetic

T21 isn't kinetic however That's what he's meaning and strictly speaking the Wookie Assault Bowcaster is a kinetic rifle at cl54. So Carbs really is the only ranged profession (barring smuggler and commando) that doesn't have a kinetic master level weapon.

Almost exactly the same here... it's a powerful profession, but a totally different approach to combat than the carbineer... and the rule "best is what you have most fun with" is totally true here.
