I have the same pistol template of Bh pistols 4, master pistoleer, and smuggler 0040.

I have also played carbines although i never mastered the prof, and i have to say that IF it is just BH pistols 4 and master pistoleer then BH and carbine is better, HOWEVER when you throw in smuggler dirty fighting 4 with Panic shot (10 second delay) LowBlow(ranged pistol knockdown) and Last ditch(applies stun state and does heaps of dmg) then your better off with pistols. Basically i would say pistoleer and BH pistols isnt worth getting unless you have the smuggler line... especially for PVP. Oh and also Feign death comes in handy too

Well, I have to say, I am currently working on becomming a Carbineer and slowly dropping pistols. If things turn out that I like what I see in Carbineer, then I may very well keep it. Otherwise, I will return to pistols.

Currently, I am at BH0440, Pistoleer 4043, Carbineer 0303. I will keep the pistols tree in BH for the speed and accuracy JIC I need it to pick pistols back up. The pistol tech tree I will keep for the defence.

OK, first off, let me say thanks to all that voiced their opinions on why I should change or at least give Carbineer a try. It has been a fun transition from Pistoleer.

However, I did keep my BH Pistol and pistoleer 0040 skills for using a geo vs. mokks for quick cash.

I am happy with my new template and have a couple of changes I intend on making. Thanks again to all those that helped me in the Carbineer forum to make this decision.

Well there is not a single Carbineer template that is uber in PvP.....

But if you have the time and money, a Carbineer can beat 50%-75% of the PvP'ers out there. Quite honestly it is a simple theory, since we don't have an "I WIN" button and weapon (stun) we have to make it a long fight. This means defense stacking, but at the same time we need BH or SEA's for Speed and Accuracy. It is not easy, but the only way I see to be effective is with SEA's and Fencer.....but you might be ok with using some Legendary Krayt Tissues in Carbines or DoT Carbines with BH.

Only DOT weapon I have in my arsenal is the enhanced E11 and honestly I don't use that much. Being speedcapped I can do much more with a dizzy, a knockdown, Crippleshot and a few Scattershot2's. Hell I really don't use bleeds much either actually now that I think about it. This is PVE.

As we stand right, Carbineers are not the PVPproffesion of choice. For Carbine PVP templates check TAFirehawks posts on this very subject. I hear he is Uber at it.
