Why doesn't this thing work for me anymore? I used to run around in the nice 4-piece suit and wear a skirt, giving me the chance to at least look fashionable in battle. But since a few weeks I take actionhits that aren't resisted by armor,while allpieces are in near perfect condition, even silly little quenkershitthrough it

There's a thread in the armorsmith forum that discusses the viability of the 4-piece "mini suits".

A couple of people have posted that the skirts/dreses seem to create the hole.

I been testing seems there have fixed that try it out

get friend to duel ya have him wear boots gloves chest hel

and watch his action go fast use scatter 2 shot or bh confusion shot

Tried it against elder and krayts. Elder hits you for enormous damage if you don't wear full suit. Against krayt, I was wearing full suit, but leggings. Health and mind were barely moving, while my action was going down fast. I put on the leggings and it was ok. You can also test it examining combat log after a fight, and you'll see "Your[insert name] left bracer (for ex)prevented yy points of damage". So yeah, they do work, but in pvp you take too little damage to notice if you're not wearing full suit.

I have to question the "4 piece suit" as well. Even when doing Janta/Mokk missions, if I don't equip leggings, my action goes down a bit. It'd drop to zero if it weren't for Master Fencer and melee toughness in my template.

As for PvP, it's a lot less common. Personally I equip everything but the leggings, as many complementary (+4s and +5s) are in my bracers/biceps (which hardly decay.)

But for high-end PvE, leggings is definitely a must, I find.

I don't see how it's a bug or exploit in this particular case. Why does no one wear Tantel or Chitin armor in PvP? Because it's useless.

Why do few wear leggings in PvP and sometimes even PvE? Because it's useless. I'm not saying you won't get hit.. I do sometimes in the 'legs' for odd reasons and my action bar takes a drop.. but overall, the concensus is that it's often not needed with most templates.

Protect yourself extra if you like.. I'll pass.

I wouldn't consider this an exploit. But it is pretty unmoral, if you are knowingly using this to gain an unfair advantage. Not really a big concern though. It is just 5 less spots for AA's. Not like you are saving on HAMs since doc buffs + brandy + canape can completey neuralize triple layered composite. Even from an AS point of view, I sell suits in backpacks so i didn't notice a drop in sales when this became common knowledge.

no they dont. My buddy is a tranny and hes got no holes. The bracers cover for the gloves and the leggings cover for the boots.

Yeah, Im a Trandoshan and when I fight in groups I'm not taking any more dmg than the other fully armored guys next to me.

i have had scatter hits and jedi attacks hit me in unprotected areas though.

it's rare but it does happen

but yes there is a bug and 99% of the time your safe with just liek 4 pieces of armor
