I love the snub, I use it all the time when I'm unbuffed in PvE, and sometimes when I do friendly duels unbuffed. It is a great little gun, low ham, and with a good slice and 30% power up can be quite effective. It looks cool, fits with my mock Imperial officers uniform, and is great when I'm providing fire support to a friend leveling so I don't steal the xp. While the damage in the one listed above is quite low, I can see the use for it and FFA in a pig PvP group, any added accuracy is a plus, even if you have the BH line.

Clearly my friend, we have an understanding, that is pretty much what i had in mind, nice to know someone else thinks about those things as well. /salute

Pity, you must not have been around in those early days. We had a number of Medic/Docs who did nothing but and had a pretty damned good time of it. Of course, we took a beating on a regular basis back then, so they were not so bored waiting for buffs to wear off like they do now.

I looted a dh17 snubbie carbine, the mod to it is carbine accuracy while moving 5. Now the damage stats aren't that good, in fact something like 20-60 or something lame like that, HOWEVER, this carbine is a good +bonus statelayer. And what i mean to that is, if im in a big group pvping, i whip out this little sunshine, and show others the light, by peppering them with laserfire, reducing their effectivness in fightning.

Whats my point? _______(bottom line hehe) NOTHING. just to provoke thought, for all you "thinking carbineers"

First off, I see your point and what your trying to say here. I think the +5 to moving is pretty cool but I think you could get this out of food or SEA's. Tapping somebody with states is also helpful and doing it at a high rate of seed is also helpful. That damage is a real kill-joy though and would be great for a low level future carbineer but would just be a paper weight in most of the Master's hands. None-the-less, I'm not knocking that weapons because again; I believe it would be great for a nOOb carbineer with a weapon change on the run.

marauder means =To rove and raid in search of plunder.

I use to LOVE being the full time healer. Back in the day when we left for Fort Tusken on foot and the group had to have healing to keep going, and soon has the doctor left, group left. It was great....

I will say the way SWG originally played is more in-line with the vision of how it should play.....

For people with this attitude, the Combat Upgrade will be a very welcomed change

as a trandoshan carbineer who started playing no earlier than 3 months ago, I'm affraid of what they'll do to the buffs. I can only have my quickness/stamina at 600 or 800 and mind/focus/willpower at 1000/500/600 or so. I'll NEED to go back to using a krayt sliced-stocked-scoped dh17 for my choice of weapons if I choose to keep carbineer. And I've kept with my carbines since my first day.

I would hate to give up my carbines, I've invested too much into them and the Trandoshans just suck w/out buffs if they stuck to carbineers at the current HAM costs.

But I have faith in those in the combat revamp testing that there will be a happy medium for us all. Even the unfortunate trandoshan/carbineers.

The HAM Revamp that hit TC happened before you were here.....and since you weren't here in the first couple months of the game, the Combat Upgrade will feel very weird to you....

I would assume one of the first changes to carbineer would need to be the HAM costs, they got amped (as i understand it) many publishes back because the offensive output of the carbineer was "out of control" according to other prof's *scoff*. If buffs drop, the HAMs will have to as well, when i find new carbineers asking me for advice, i always tell them if they're Bh/carbineer, to some day try using a PuP laser carb, in full comp armour as high a resist as you can find, then try to use a cripple shot. I get told i don't have enough points, don't know about everyone else. Then i'd tell them "Welcome to the world of 'gimped'. Enjoy it though, someday it'll be fixed and then we won't get laughed at anymore". On topic though, if the HAM costs don't bail out when the buffs do, i'll regrettably pass down the mantle of carbineer in favour of something more maintanable. *cries* Woe is me when that day comes.

Goddarnit i forgot what i originally meant to write. I take it as my primary responsibility in group PvP situations to spam aoe's of every kind into the fray, having very little in defenses, there's no sense in me getting into the thick of it. So the idea of using low ham/low damage/high accuracy weapons to spam states is a true gem, it truly is bliss to spam some chargeshot2's into the middle of a war, and seeing dozens of people flop all at once......

Well no prof will be spamming specials in any form, so don't expect the world to turn up-side-down for Carbineer in regard to spamming specials or much of anything else.

But honestly I have no hard numbers, that is what the Sandbox is for....so you can still hold hope for greatly reduced HAM costs I suppose....

So i guess that'll put my macro of /fullautoarea2; /fullautoarea2; /chargeshot2; /suppressionfire2 a little out of action? Darn, that's a gem for wars.... (Note: Obviously if you see a lot of people fall over you bail on that and just pepper burstshot :manhappy

Unless the npc is has a light armor rating the DH-17 is my PvE weapon of choice. The HAM cost on it is low. Getting your health and action buffed is easy. Finding a buffbot or live buffing entertainer isn't always easy and frankly a waste of my time unless I'm PvP'ing.

Never had much of a liking for snubbies. I preferred the original long barrelled types for the looks and the extra accuracy bonuses. Got a crate of 231's with 19 mind from a 12point weaponsmith. With damage slices they are AWESOME.....its just a pain in the rear for a decent damage slice to happen though.

If nothing else go get a nym's for the looks

*points to comment above*

Ok dear mr. first off, my accuracy is well over 230 (i have tons of sea,s im also a bounty hunter, my carbines i use are always high accuracy modded, and i only use accuracy powerups also i do eat crispic/and snowcake.) I also have force sensitive accuracy as well. and a +5 accuracy modded carbine to moving is VERY COOL! (there did i make it sound kiddish enough for you? j/k ) OH THERE IS A HUGE ARGUMENT OR CONFLICT IN THE PAST THAT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH ACCURACY AND HOW WELL IT AFFECTS STATES. (you cannot stun, dizzy, or blind, what you cannot hit. plain and simple, look at your combat que, watch it carefully you'll see what i mean,

p.s. some might argue, that we miss on purpose, and thats our style of fightnign to purposely miss our shots, to confuse and plunder the enemy, however if we miss a shot that is supposed to miss in a indirect way, lol then we miss big time. "screw you guys, im going home"
