Interesting TA. I would like to know how effective your extra melee/ranged defenses help you while holding a Carbine.
How do you observe that it is working in your combat log?

Hey, guys, I'm not saying its a good thing to have low defense or anything......I was just saying that I prefer speed over defense, because I am a Master Medic and I've usually got my friends with me (They've got Doctor/CM/Rifleman/TK) during PVP which is usually at a Rebel/Imperial battlefield.
Here's what we usually do: The CM heals our minds, Doctors (we have 2 in case the other one dies) ressurect and heal our states, the Riflemen do some uber damage, and I put as many states on them as I can, using Action Shot 2 (Bleed), Wild Shot (Stun), and Fullautosingle2/Fullautoarea2(not sure what all the states are for those 2 specials). Also, if the TK dies before we kill the enemy, I use Charge Shot 2 for KD.
I find our little group of 4 usually works out pretty well.
....but anyways thats why I usually use speed over defense for pvp: my friends do a darn good job of keeping us healed

It is VERY easy....see I have TWO Carbineer toons on different accounts. One is a Carbineer/CH and the other is Carbineer/Fencer/Pistoleer. And I have two computers to play SWG on, so I have the ability to play both at the same time and TOTALLY control any testing that I do.
The defense stacker template makes a HUGE difference....mostly the Fencer "goodies".
Observing is VERY EASY, but look at how few hits my defense stacker gets against the pure Carbineer....

Love to see how you take someone out in 9 seconds when you are dizzy kd'd after 3 seconds: Confusionshot, Actionshot2, Fireknockdown.
This combo will see almost any defencestacker doing backflips for as long as it takes to incap them.

Obviously you have NEVER fought a Fencer/Pistoleer defense stacker.....hope some Chilastra folks see this and tell you just how often they Dizzy/KD me.....
