Alright, so here is what I have decided to go:

M swordsman
0004 TKA
0004 Combat Prowess
0240 Doc

THat is the definite part of my template. Now what I need help with is what to do with the extra points.

Somehow I want to work M Brawler in there somewhere, but the only way is to be master swordsman/master brawler/0240 doc. Not gonna work since I cant heal my states and defennse will be low.

I thought about getting the x4xx tree of TKA for state defense, but its not enough to waste the SP.

Right now I am choosing between 4xxx TKA for meditate, or 4xxx doc for state heals during battle. At this point I would prefer meditate; keeps me from having to lug around meds all the time. Guess I should add that I am 95% PVE.

I could pick up 4xxx or x4xx fencer and get those defenses, but combat wise it would not help that much (+ I woulldn't have any way to heal state)

I thought about picking up the defense line of pikeman, but found that pointless >.< imagine that.

So really I guess the decision right now is between going 4xxx doc or 4xxx TKA ^_^ input please, or what else I can change. All I have now is M swordsman/4440 Doc, and am dropping doc once I decide what to do.

I would love toeventually solo Krayt Dragons with the Feign Death trick, - but shuold I go for the

triple master pistol/tka/smuggler (it's got great defenses right?)

or

master commando/master smuggler (with 0003 pistol?)

is there another good/better PvE mastersmuggler template?

rifleman/smuggler is good for PVE, Im a triple master and all around I love it. Great for tanking, great for PVP and PVE however in the current combat system you cant do anything with out full buff's on this temp.

Doesn't the 2 stacked bleeds then feign shot on krayts, over and over not work?

Sure but do you know what the HAM is on that thing? First off it will take a year if your going to shoot FD and wait for it to die, 2nd you dont think a riflemen or jedi 'ant going to come along and out damage ya, while your on your back waiting for a dagon to bleed to death? It's just not a workable idea.

In case you missed it, they upped the HAMs on Krayts from 35-75k up to he 350-450k range. At least for the giants. Also two points that are important: 1.) Your combat state doesn't clear when feigning death any more. If you stand up from Feigning Death, even with 20 people pounding on that Krayt, it will come back after you. and 2.) I recently incountered a bug where a Krayt was still able to damage me when I was feigning death. And depleting my armor. Sent a bug ticket but I dunno.

PvE if you want krayts and have friends to tank then go smuggler rifleman. Is fun and if you ever decided to PvP rifleman is very effective against non-jedi.

PvE if you want totake onNight Sisters, Ackley and several others solo then go Swordsman Smuggler. Not as effective pvp and to get speed capped very expensive but well worth it as you up your dps by about 6 times.

I've been both....

I'm grinding triple threat now for the thrid time so you work it out. PvE balanced and you can take on the medium level mobs solo.Higher end mobs take agaes to kill and you'll get out damaged if rifleman or swordsman come along and Jedi just screw everyone. PvP again very balanced and easy to use.

Oh yeah to bleed a krayt to death you'd have to be very luck to have no one come across you to kill steal, and the server not to shut down for a couple fo days. Maybe even some magical buffs that never wear out. You can tank it as triple master but again it takes for ever unless it's a juvi.

oh yeah and this all become void when CURB gets released

Right now I am

Mdef

4000 Heal

2403 Enh

0404 LS

and I really like this template. The problem is I really want to fit Sap in there somewhere, so I was thinking something like this:

Mdef

4040 Heal

2003 Enh

0404 LS

Does anyone have any experience/suggestions on the pros and cons of these templates? Thanks for your input in advance.

I am currently

4004 scout

4004 medic

Novice doc

Master marksman

3404 SL

and going for master rifle

In order to fit master rifles im gonna have to drop novice doc and either all medic or some medic and some scout

So would you say go for something like novice medic with 25 he bio clothes with 4004 scout

or 2004 scout and 0030 medic or vice versa or should i drop medic all together use stims and pick up a novice prof like carbine or pistols for the extra specials and what not.

I want some scout because the terrain negotiation and mask scent can save alot of time and trouble.

thanks in advance

please post things like this in the template thread stickied at the top of the page?

otoh I would keep doc and drop scout - just group with an SL and get the same benefits without the skill point expenditure.

Ok i have decided to start a New Temp. It is going to be this. Teras Kasi Master / Master Swordsman / 4000 Doc

This way i get the innate TK armor have the Swordsman for the power hammer which mine does almost 1300 damage unsliced but puped. And the Doc skills so i can heal myself up to 1500 damage or something like that?

How do you guys think this template would work in duels against Jedi and Other lvl 80 melee or ranged?

Lots of people love the template you propose here and I had it for awhile too.

I like TKM/Swords 04440/Doc4004 a bit better for the self-buffs (although those are supposedly changing for Publish 21, so we'll have to see how that works out). Being able to give yourself the speed buff in the field is especially helpful and this template is still CL 80. I found I wasn't using the skills granted at MSwords and that the action cost on the power line was pretty unattractive, so I went for the buffs instead.

You can certainly shoot holes in my template too, but it's something to consider.
