I respec'd from smuggler pistoleer to MBH/rifles, then realized that I was using a proton carbine the most, since I looted it. So i respec'd to MBH/carbs. then i used my last respec to go to carbs/doc, because i was constantly healing myself with novice medic... lol!
in short, i chose carbs because i had a proton.

i did it to partner it with combat medic. you know, the electrolyte drain and crippling shot would leave anything you fought at a stand still for a good amount of time, but sadly, this was nerfed. what really stinks is i'm 2 boxes shy of jedi now, so i don't want to bust my template up to take a more effective combo.

I wanted more firepower than I had with my pistols and it has always sounded fun. I'm glad I went carbines.

I have been with the carbineer profession from my first day, still have my fist CDEF. I choose this profession because I can deal more damage than with a pistol and have more mobility than I do with a rifle. Besides I really dig my green maruader armor.

When I think of a soldier, I picture a carbine. It's not too big, not too small , it's just right. I started off with a Pistoleer/Smuggler template, but dropped Smuggler as soon as I got to master and picked up Carbineer; I figured I'd combine the quick attacks and crowd control attacks of Pistoleer with the good damage and other crowd control attacks of Carbineer. So far, I've loved this combo. Elite Carbine FTW!

I chose carbineer reason being it hits hard then rifleman and still have a carbine with LOW SPECIAL ATTACK COST (SAC) I also enjoy the battle armor.
My Template:
Master Carbineer
Master Pistoleer
Master Marksman
Rifleman 4000
Medic 0130
My accuracy is over 500 (with some tapes) and and i hit for over 1200 in pve and in pvp between 600-800

I chose it for the aoe attacks. I just switched from MBH (had it for the attacks) to carbines last week. I am going to have master by the end of the weekend, hopefully. Still learning the template combined with MD. Will see how it goes. I mostly chose this to take out hordes of troopers. hehehe

I thought Bounty Hunter and Carbineer would make sense, because Boba Fett seemed to have that template.

I was broke and needed some armor. I was almost MBH so I did clone armor quest, discoveed it was Battle and grabed carbineer So i could wear it. That was a couple months ago and mastered it, and deciding if I even want to go jedi because I like it so much.

I choose Carbineer because it looked like at nice balance between Pistoleer and Rifleman before launch.....over 2 years ago ![]()
I kept Carbineer because it used to take 'smarts' to play and win with it.....now it feels more FotM, which is disappointing, but is still fun ![]()

i chose it mostly because of the e11 mark 2 and battle armour cert,id wanted to be a proper stormtrooper since starting the game that and the specials go well with my other prof bounty hunter

Carbineer was my first prof in the game back in July of 2003. I didn't finish it, however, and dropped it to move in the direction of support and then commmando. After my main character evolved into his final Pre-CU template about 8 months or so before the CU, (Fencer/Doctor), I decided that I missed ranged and picked up an alt for ranged combat. I had already done rifles and was not going to go back to headshot spamming. My best friend in game was a pistoleer, and a damn good one, so I decided I would be different. Carbineer offered interesting attacks and a chance to do something different. So I ground out Carbs on my alt. When the CU hit and my fencer/doc primary became obsolete, I was happy to pick up carbs on my primary once again. Bit of a round about story, but my flirtation and obsession with carbs has spanned multiple characters.
