hi

I'm new to the game so i've come for some advice on how to get to novice carbineer from carbines 4, as at the moment i'm finding it very slow. i got carbine 4 by killing everything around newbie areas near city, should i continue doing this or missions? i have an ee3 carbine (cannt find laser carbine on my server farstar), only pet i have is an imperial private. i dont wear any armour. i have novice medic.

Thanks.

You ccould go to Naboo and pick up a lot of nuna missions.

The "quickest" way would be to get a pet or group up with a party and take on some tougher creatures. Noob creatures will work but I find that a really long process unless you are gonna create a macro so you don't have to physically do anything.

Ahhh...Not going to give you much help, but you reminded me of the good 'ol snorbal hunting days. Snorbals on Lok used to only move as fast as a scout with terrain negotiation. I got my novice xp by shooting the lair until all 10 snorbals came out, put bleed shots on all of them, and then ran around the base for 45 minutes reapplying bleed shot as needed. That was sooooooo fun. Insanely dangerous with the high density of aggroes in the area, but the risk/reward ratio was worth it.

But yeah, the highest xp/hour I've ever made was by getting into a large party that hunted bols on Dantooine. However, with a DXR6 and a CH friend, you can get 5k+ xp for voritors on Dant (acid vulnerability).

I personally did it with a novice CH friend, hunting swamp humbabas in the Agrilat Swamps southwest of Doaba Guerfel...

I would suggest pairing up with someone and doing picket missions. Make sure you both have warning shot and as always a pet is very helpful. There are the narglach (sp) caves on naboo with a good group of 4 or so you can rake in a ton of xp there just make sure you bring ether a ch or a compotent melee type.

This is probably a dumb thing to add, but the more damage you do with your gun, the more XP you get.

I got novice carbineer while in a big hunting party on Drath, but I was lucky there. Groups are pretty common on Dantooine, at least on my server, and if you ask someone who's soloing if you can hook up, they might let you if you can follow their tactics. (If you wanted to hook up with me, I'd say "put an 'Assist' button on your tool bar, and whatever the pet attacks, hit 'assist'. Whatever you do, don't hit TAB to find your target. You'll make everything we're not attacking come down on us.")

1)Get a CH or learn CH and get a big pet like a Graul or Merrek.

2) Go to Dantoonie.

3) Hunt those Lizards with a group with the acid carbine. If you do some powerful shots you will get 1-5k xp each, not to mention a lot of money since they are 20k missions. Bets way to get them is from a player city around the center area of the planet.

Do voritors group aggro?

Dragonets rock. Maybe not the best, but pretty good, and they are on Tat rather than some out of the way planet.

Last night, I was getting 3350 per kill, and they are pretty easy. Best of all, they do not DB. Just bleed, warning shot, run away, wait, come back in for the finish. Use buildings as cover to help you get away without burst running.

I got about 70K carbine xp in about 1.5 hours, without a pet, without buffs, and without even wearing my armor (so HAM costs were minimal). If you have a good pet or get buffed, you can probably do it a lot faster.

Right now, I'm 0002 Carbineer. So this is probably not the best choice for higher levels.

I used to hunt feral banthas for pistol XP a while back. They're super slow, only about 1500 HAM and gave about 1100 XP. Not sure if they've been changed since then though.
