hi, i was using chargeshot today, and i used it a total of 32 times. out of these 32 times i missed 15 and failed to KD the target 17. is this normal? am i just doing something wrong? i had a smuggler buddy with me and was watching him use low blow to KD the heck out of everything. are we really that inaccuate and fail that much?

ok first of all this is only my opinion and i don't dig into the numbers and stats of my professions. I don't like being like other people, so i made the stupid decision to be carbineer/pikeman. whoo what was i smokin

anyway, it seemed to me that accuracy was a problem up untill the accuracy 2 or 3 box, then is was an anoyance untill i mastered. like i said it seemed to be this way. honestly the accuracy wouldn't be a problem if we shot faster, like the machine guns of swg, as i readelsewhere. but the sad fact is we were planned that way, the accuracy represents this, but our speed does not.

/rant Untill people stop calling nerf, nothing will actually be fixed. shut up, organize and present problems, then wait paitiently, coding and debugging is not a fast process. unfortunatly, less popular jobs like us get overlooked by devs who concentrate on the majority voiceses. those voices typically calling for "fixes" to things not broken, but not as god as they want, and "nerf" on the jobs that they have trouble defeating in pvp. /endrant

It also depends on what you are fighting. Some higher level creatures have VERY high resist to KD and Posture Change.

General rule of thumb, Carbineer sucks until you hit Master or have BH.

I never had a problem with /chargeshot1, not working for me before i had the accuracy tree. But before i had the accuracy tree was in the /chargeshot1 bug days. So i dont know how valid that is. Your accuracy will improve alot between Novice and Master.

And as far as the carbines suck unless you have master or BH, what are you talking about? I have never really had an issue with Carbines except for the damage in the hundreds for using specials without buffs, which is easily countered by youguessed it, being buffed.

Well I have been Master for quite some time now and ChargeShot1 will miss 99.9% of the time on Mutant and Bull Rancors, along with most Nightsisters.

But you are right, almost every Chuba I ChargeShot1 goes FLOP

That's your problem right there... some nightsisters have very high resists to KD.

Not long ago, I dropped all my carbineer boxes and leveled up again to see how the class was at lower levels. One thing that stuck out was that /chargeshot1 misses (I mean a miss as in a whiff not a fail to KD) a lot at lower levels. Each special has an accuracy modifier and I have a feeling this special either has none or a negative modifier. Basically, I found that I got chargeshot before I actually had the accuracy to use it effectively. I was my "feeling" that until I had the third box in marksmanship I was just wasting my HAM by using chargeshot since it missed so much. Even with the third box, I was msising a lot and didn't use the special much. Once I got to the 4th box it hit much better.

I also echo the issues with hitting and KD high level content. They have insane resists. I was at the nightsisters this weekend and spamming fullautosingle2 like mad. I did not once in the time I was there land a blind or stun on a spell weaver. I was actively trying to stun/blind them just to see if I could.

One other issue with chargeshot is that you move forward 5 M every time you use it. Use it 3 times in a row and you are 15 M and not in the optimal range anymore. In essence, if you use this special a lot you have to get used to what I call dancing where you fire the special then run back 5-10 M to keep in optimal range. This is especially important in PvP and vs higher level content when accuracy is a big issue.

Publish 6 changed the% ChargeShot1 hit as well, a stealth nerf. I used to be able to hit Mutant Rancors every once in awhile, maybe 1 in 20. I spammed the darn thing well over 100, maybe even 200 times without a single KD.

I know the Posture to Prone was fixed for PvE, but changing the KD hit % is a double nerf.

Before you bring it up, we should get info from the other KD professions. If they have the same trouble, then it is in balance. However I do get tired of learning how to play one way just to have it taken away with all the stealth nerfs

Good info Matatodos, thanks.

As long as things are in balance, then the change is fine, let them focus on the Combat Revamp.
